Staff were super friendly and welcoming and decorations were great. We went for the festive afternoon tea and the food was all very tasty, we had refills offered for sandwiches and tea too. The mulled wine to finish off was a nice touch. Even took a doggy bag home as we were full and couldnt manage some of it! Highly recommend.

We went for a festive afternoon tea to celebrate our son's marriage. Welcome, ambience and service were second to none. Well done. Decorated well for Christmas with a giant tree in the sumptuous lounge. Afternoon tea was in the main restaurant which is very elegant. Grounds of course give great scope for photographs.

I booked afternoon tea at Cliveden for us and our friends as our annual ‘get together’, I’ve never been to this kind of thing before so had no idea what to expect, safe to say it exceeded any expectation I could have dreamt of! Everything was stunning, beautiful Christmas decorations, incredibly clean everywhere, a warm welcome, somewhere to sit before and after our booking, friendly staff. The food was lovely, staff couldn’t have been more helpful, no question was too big to answer, drinks were in abundance and everyone had the best time. We were also encouraged to look around the building and when we asked about a certain room the staff made sure we were able to have a look at the decor before the big booking arrived. After our food we asked if we could stay for a while and were shown into the bar where once again the lovely staff found us extra chairs and made us comfortable. We had the best time and will be back again, I can’t recommend this enough, not only for a beautiful experience, but great value and a warm, five star welcome!

Room was very comfortable, staff were friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the main dining room. The hotel was very festively decorated. The grounds were lovely to walk through even though it was a very cold and frosty morning.

Delicious food, great friendly service and incredible atmosphere. It is quite expensive but very good value for the quality of the experience. Worth every penny. Definitely get there early to have a drink in the lounge or enjoy the grounds.

Alas, if I am unable to award a "sixth" star, then a "five" star it shall be! Which means there can truly be no other five stars, as the Cliveden House is nothing short of the most spectacular hotel on the planet. What was to merely have been a convenient overnight stay, albeit an opulent one, in order to get to Heathrow the next morning, turned out to be singularly the grandest hotel experience of a lifetime. Ours was to have been a subdued visit, hoping for no more than to absorb the elegant ambience and to allow our imaginings to transport us to a time of dignity and gentle grace long gone by. But the hotel staff would not permit us to relegate this experience to make believe. In no uncertain terms our splendid hosts at the Cliveden opened its doors with a warmth and social embrace that left us agog. We were not royalty, nor people of even conspicuous means, yet for perhaps the first time in our lives my wife and I were made to feel as such. This was a staff not only of gracious attentions, but also of good hearted humor. Nothing about our visit resonated falsely. My wife and I realized we would never have another experience like this again! Or at least until the next time we visit, which we can assure will be for more than just one night!

It was simply the best stay I have ever experienced in my life. Considering the fact that I normally stay in the best hotels in different places of the world. Amazing people, impeccable service, beautiful venue, lovely rooms, fantastic food. It felt like coming to the family. I came for 5 nights from Knightsbridge to escape from the massive renovation of the building I live in and scaffolding all over it, to have some peace and comfort- I didn’t just get it, I couldn’t leave and stayed extra 3 nights. Thank you all for such a fantastic welcome, my dearest people. I will come back definitely. And not only one more time. Naydine, Caroline, Amjad, Liam, Olivia, Magda, Anna (and many others)- you are all fantastic! Thank you very much and will see you soon ❤️ Ekaterina

A girls spa break lovely room great turndown first night disapointing breakfast both days luke warm food - no real service - average food offering historic warm atmosphere, stunning surroundings and walks, magical outdoor jaccuzzi, outdoor pool stunning spa facilities and location arrival disappointing room show around etc missing something highight staff service in the Astor Grill on Saturday night - stand out passion, interest and showed us private dining the following day ate at 9 pm and the person stood out so much he was amazing; its so difficult to live up to expectation, no piano playing in lounge etc shame because has a great atmosphere would not return here but enjoyed the experience
