Staying at Cliveden House is pure elegance; transporting you a different, sophisticated world. The experience is made particularly special by the friendly, professional way that the front of house team ensure everything is to the highest standards and you are certainly made to feel very spoilt. Yes, the price tag is high but, as a treat for a special celebration, I can think of few (if any!) comparable experiences. Enormous thanks to the whole team.

From the very first moment we felt a warm welcome into this busy place. Every member of the staff encounter smile and acknowledge us. We were very well looked after for our afternoon tea. Every member of the staff in the room looked happy and shared great time with us. Special mention for Anna our waitress.

Had a wonderful overnight stay to celebrate my husband’s 50th Birthday! We enjoyed every moment. The spa, treatment, dinner, breakfast were all amazing! We stayed in the Chinese room, the decor and facilities available in the room were perfect! Thank you for making the day very special.

We celebrated a family birthday with Sunday lunch at Cliveden dining room. The service was immaculate and the food exceptional, the roast beef was without exception the best I have ever tasted. Well done to the staff at Cliveden and their chefs.

We had the most delicious afternoon tea for our anniversary. They catered for all dietary requirements, offered us more if we wanted (we didn't we were very full), and the team were so attentive and lovely. The grounds were stunning which added to the experience and offered great views while enjoying such a treat. Would very much recommend.

I go to Cliveden for afternoon tea at least once a year and this time took my mum visiting from abroad for a treat. She felt like a total queen and this was certainly the highlight of her entire visit. Every staff member we have encountered were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous, we couldn’t fault the service in any way. I am not generally not a fan of pastries, much more of a scone person, and they are heavenly. The sandwiches were really tasty too. Lots of savouries so it doesn’t feel overwhelmingly sweet as it may be in other places. You are offered extras of your favourites and plenty of tea and coffee. We were never rushed and enjoyed a lovely leisurely afternoon in the most stunning surroundings. Will certainly be returning.

When something is simply being done properly & flawlessly, it seems deceivingly easy and relaxed. Afternoon tea at Cliveden is one of those experiences that are simply 'perfect' - efficient, carefully thought through and perfectly executed. From the first view of Cliveden as you approach up the long drive, to the welcome at the front door and the beautiful dining, room through to the food, service and attention to detail, the whole afternoon tea experience is simply excellent. We much appreciated the good wishes and handwritten and signed 'Happy Anniversary' card. The standard of food was excellent and delicious, and I was impressed that the staff noticed we couldn't mange to finish everything and offered to do a 'doggy bag' (actually a lovely monogrammed card carrier) saving the customer the embarrassment of asking, so as not to waste such lovely food. Thank you to everyone concerned at Cliveden.

Afternoon tea at Cliveden was a wonderful experience; a warm welcome, great service and superb food. The staff were all very professional and attentive; they were fun too. Booking was easy to do, the menu and what to expect obvious, parking explained, all taken care of in confirmation emails. Thank you everyone
