We spent out honeymoon at the beautiful Villa Ducale in 1999; this year, on the occasion of our 25th wedding anniversary, we revisited. We loved it then and we love it now! It was always beautiful but it has been enhanced with really tasteful additions and it now boasts an excellent restaurant too, with stunning views of the bay and Mt Etna. To cap it all, everyone is just so friendly and nice. Thanks for a great visit!

Went for our honeymoon and cannot say enough about the wonderful trip. Service, ambiance, food, everything was impeccable. The hotel itself is a bit above the fray which we loved, it was nice to be a bit out of the hustle and bustle of downtown and they provide a free shuttle service that was perfect. On time and extremely professional. Have to also shout out our girl Santina, if you have the chance to work with her just know she is (and honestly everyone) is taking the upmost care of you. Cannot say enough great things, thank you all for the absolutely perfect honeymoon. Can’t wait to return!!

Siamo appena tornati da un soggiorno presso Villa Ducale e non possiamo che esprimere il nostro entusiasmo per l'esperienza vissuta. La villa offre una vista senza pari. Gli spazi e le camere sono eleganti e curati nei minimi dettagli. In particolare le camere sono arredate con gusto e dotate di ogni comfort. Il personale è stato meravigliosamente accogliente e preparato su tutte le attività da fare nella magica Taormina e non solo, rendendo così il nostro soggiorno ancora più piacevole. La colazione, ricca e variegata, è stata un ottimo inizio di giornata. La vista panoramica e la tranquillità del luogo hanno contribuito a rendere la nostra vacanza davvero indimenticabile. In sintesi, Villa Ducale è il posto ideale per chi cerca un soggiorno di lusso in un ambiente raffinato e sereno. Non vediamo l'ora di tornarci!

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per 10 notti nel mese di agosto: l’hotel è stupendo, le camere ampie, luminose e c’è n vista spettacolare, pulitissimo e il personale è gentile e discreto. L’hotel si trova su una collina con vista Etna e golfo , a 15 minuti a piedi dal centro di Taormina, facilmente raggiungibile con una scalinata panoramica. In ogni caso l’hotel mette a disposizione ogni ora delle navette per il centro e ritorno . Sono ottimi anche la colazione e il ristorante. A mio avviso il rapporto qualità prezzo è del tutto corretto. L’hotel è anche un buon punto di partenza per numerose gite interessanti: l’hotel organizza qualsiasi escursione, ma volendo è possibile anche gestire escursioni agevolmente in autonomia utilizzando la vicina ferrovia ( molto efficiente) o le linee dei bus. Localisation exceptionnelle, superbe décoration, restauration de grande qualité - mais surtout, une équipe incroyable qui nous a offert la réception la plus chaleureuse et attentive que nous ayons reçue au cours de nos nombreux voyages ! C’est vraiment de cet hôtel qu’il faut venir admirer l’Etna et visiter Taormine !

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Ducale, with a gorgeous view of mount Etna, fabulous rooms and fantastic service! Max took amazing care of us every morning and Guiliana was so attentive and helpful with activities and places to eat in taormina. We will most definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed the room and the daily cleaning with nightly turndown service. Views from the dining area were also exceptional including a view of Mt. Edna. However, we were not impressed with other parts of our stay. Breakfast was basically the same everyday and service was generally lacking during our meal. Dirty plates were rarely removed from our table and seldom were we asked if we needed anything or if we enjoyed our meal. Noise from two sources were a daily issue. When we weren’t hearing dogs barking, we were often hearing the staff loudly talking as they cleaned the premise. While we enjoyed our stay, the overall experience was not exceptional. We loved our room but otherwise weren’t impressed with the rest of the experience. There was nothing extraordinary about the experience to cause us to return or recommend it to others. Lots of money - light on service.

In the beginning we were abit sceptical about being so high up and far from the centro but really this place was priceless, charming, hospitable! The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Our breakfast was always so good and the View was so beautiful of mount Etna. Massimo was the best host making sure I got my big coffee macchiato /cappuccino every morning. The staff go out if their way to make their guests happy ! Next time in Taormina for sure Ill be going back.
