Sharing my experience and situation at Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina sicilia. The hotel consists of two separate buildings: the main Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo and the adjacent Villa Flora. Although the two buildings are part of the same property, they offer different accommodation. Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo offers more luxurious rooms and suites, often with stunning views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. In comparison, Villa Flora is located about 2 minutes walk from the main building and provides accommodation without the same facilities or views.
Villa Flora has different entrances, addresses, and is separated by the (Greek Theater). Unlike the main building, Villa Flora does not have its own bar or restaurant. To enjoy services such as dining or bars, guests staying at Villa Flora need to walk to the main building. This meant leaving Villa Flora, walking through the busy streets near the Greek Theater, and weaving through the crowds to get to the main building. It was only 2 minutes, but imagine a lot of space and time to get down early for breakfast and think about it before going to bed at night. It's not very convenient to go downstairs to drink, or to change into a swimsuit and want to go to the swimming pool. For me, Villa Flora is definitely another hotel that shouldn't share the same name as Belmond Grand Hotel Timeo. A friend said that if his house price is almost the same as that of Ritz Paris, he shouldn't settle for it.

Neomi, the front desk clerk at the hotel, was very friendly. The entire hotel is actually divided into two parts, Timeo on the mountain and San'Andrew on the beach. There is a free shuttle bus between the two hotels every half an hour, which is actually very convenient. Timeo has a great view and the service is first-class. There are welcome fruit snacks when you check in, and a cup of goodnight tea before going to bed at night. Since we arrived early, the front desk thoughtfully arranged for us to have some drinks at the bar. We checked out at 3 pm because we forgot the time because we went to the beach to play. No one rushed us at all with a 90% occupancy rate! For dinner, we chose to go to a restaurant on the beach to enjoy the sunset. Every dish was delicious. I was really satisfied with this stay.

The room was nice, a little empty, but the king-size bed was made of two mattresses put together, which I didn't like. The hotel bar was in a great location, with a beautiful view and good drinks. The overall service was very warm, but one staff member at the reception made me feel uncomfortable. When I wanted to book a shuttle bus, he repeatedly emphasized that this service was only for guests staying in the hotel, but I had clearly told him that I was staying in the hotel. My husband and I had a fantastic six-day stay at the Grand Hotel Timeo. The staff were exceptional, going out of their way to ensure a memorable experience. The hotel's location is perfect, with easy access to shopping and dining. The terrace offers breathtaking sunset views, though it does get quite crowded with non-guests. Nevertheless, the staff are dedicated to accommodating hotel guests. We also enjoyed a day at Sant’Andrea Beach, thanks to the hotel's convenient shuttle service. Breakfast was superb with a wide variety of choices. We cannot say enough good things about the Grand Hotel Timeo!

Hôtel exceptionnel, tout n'est que Luxe, calme et volupté. Emplacement exceptionnel avec une très belle vue sur l'Etna, la ville et la baie. Le jardin est magnifique, immense terrasse. Les parties communes sont bien décorées. La suite dans la villa Flora est parfaite : spacieuse, au calme en retrait de la partie principale, grande, propre, bien décorée. Lit confortable. Le personnel est très gentil, professionnel, attentif sans être trop présent. Des gâteaux et une bouteille de champagne nous ont été offerts pour nos 20 ans de mariage. Globalement, un niveau supérieur de luxe.

Travelled with my two small children and there was so much attention to detail during our stay, our room was equipped with a change table, bottle warmer, diaper pail, kid toiletries as well as special gifts for them. The staff was incredibly caring and helpful everywhere on the property. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. We stayed here for one night to break up our week long stay at our airbnb and im so happy we did, it was the best part of our trip.
