San Domenico Palace is a uniquely fantastic experience, a class above any other 5 star hotel I've ever visited. The property itself is magnificent. The staff are a case study of professionalism, friendliness, initiative, and care. The surrounding town is charming. The views are breathtaking. I'm actually concerned I'll never enjoy another vacation as much as this one.

We had an incredible time our family of four. Service was tremendous. Hotel was super nice, clean and well-maintained. Pool was beautiful. It's located right in the main town so in minute, you are in the thick of the local city, yet the hotel is secluded and not crowded at all. Cant wait to go back.

The hotel is beautiful , wonderful decor and brilliant staff ( all extremely helpful) great food in the restaurants and a super pool. But, my husband has a mobility issue and walks with a stick and found the distances between the lifts and the pool or the restaurants and bars etc very long . We realise this is an old building and lift shafts cannot be placed anywhere but we do think that there are simple things that could be done to help such as handrails on all staircases , and not just starting half way up as in the toilet near reception. We had a suite for five days and I personally would have preferred a dressing table with a mirror and most importantly a plug for a hairdryer - I don’t like having to dry my hair in the bathroom ( safety issue) or to do my makeup standing up. I was surprised that in a hotel of this quality that this was the arrangement. On balance however, we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel but wished we were younger and better walkers!

Was mislead that I can choose a table for my birthday celebration by whole establishment. They are not about honesty and transparency. And FS philosophy treat ppl how you want to be treated was not applied to me on my birthday. Pls do not crush your special celebration in Principe Cerami especially if you have a preference for a particular table . The philosophy of “we will do the best we can”is false.

Purtroppo è impossibile accedere da ospite esterno, neanche per consumare un aperitivo o cena che sia, senza aver prenotato almeno 3 notti. Discutibile dal momento che l’ appetito vien mangiando… Questo è un veto assoluto nei confronti del turismo, visto che si tratta di un luogo storico: il convento di San Domenico del 1374, più che di un albergo/ristorante. Se è per un motivo remunerativo, basta far pagare un ticket adeguato con magari obbligo di consumazione, ovviamente senza costi proibitivi.

The pictures do not provide the grandor and richness of this property. The palace has been restored and renovated to a Four Season palace fit for a King or Queen. The staff are warm with Sicilian charm, the property boasts artwork, gardens and beautiful seaviews. The food is wonderful and within a few steps you are in the heart of Taormina to enjoy the food, shopping and history. What can we say? We will return to this paradise. Six stars would not be enough, this is luxury done right.

I had the most amazing facial ever at the Botanica Spa. I had to write a review about the amazing service, from the welcome by the front desk lady to the Purifying facial provided by Oksana. She was amazing and complimented my skin which I love to hear. I have had facials all over the world and just had one in June at the #1 Spa in St Barths at The Christopher hotel - Sisley Spa and this facial treatment can’t compete with Oksana’s facial at the 4 seasons, Taormina. I look forward to staying and getting another facial next year. Hopefully with Oksana again.
