We stayed here in March 22 - originally planned to stay 4 nights but left after 2 (apparently this often happens) If you want seclusion and inflated prices ($6 for a small beer) and want to drive everywhere then this is the place for you. Breakfast was lovely, and hotel is beautiful to look at - but no information was give about anything- like breakfast times, how to find the beach etc. All outside lights switched off at 9.30 regardless of if anyone was still sat outside- and as we were sole guests - when the staff left at 9.30pm we were left completely alone in the hotel. Water in our superior room was sporadic and no hot or even warm water was available. Also no English spoken - which isn't a complaint but something to be aware of. If you do visit please feed the lovely little black cat.

We stayed for four nights. The building is quite remarkable. The top floor has exquisite views of the ocean and forest. While this is a very cool spot- small lodge, beautiful architecture/building there is definitely room for improvements in customer service/attention. While I am an independent traveler, I appreciate small gestures that go along way for customer attention. Such as a simple welcoming/greeting upon arrival- this did not happen and would have went a long way if it had. Details were non-existent for beach access, breakfast times, gate closure to get in/out, housekeeping needs (have to leave the room key with the staff if you leave the lodge), as there is only one key and they can not get into the room to clean otherwise. The shower was poor- again, I understand the rustic nature of the lodge- but it was so loud, trickled water that fluctuated between hot/cold. And lastly, the fan in the room was incredibly (painfully) noisy. It is not reasonable that anybody would/could/should listen to the noises this fan makes. And the lighting in the hallways were out at nighttime (but on during the day??)- making the trek up the flights of stairs a safety issue (had to use my own flashlight to see).

Malo en general
Los pocos empleados intentan cubrir las necesidades de los clientes pero tienen muy poco personal , no cuentan con recursos a mano ni un administrador o encargado . Por ejemplo , no habían huevos para el desayuno y entre ellos decidieron ir a comprar para brindar desayuno a los huéspedes . Pero se nota poco interés por invertir en el lugar. Los servicios sanitarios de las habitaciones están manchados , nada de champú, ni implementos de baño, si vas debes llevar, solo le ponen un mini jabón de cuerpo en un paquetito.
La piscina si estaba limpia pero no se ofrecen almuerzos porque no hay personal ni recursos , hay un bar pero nadie lo atiende , de manera que durante el día no te ofrecen ni un vaso de agua mientras estás es la piscina o alrededores

Pésima atención al clíente habitación sucias entrega de habitaciones 4pm comida fría y sin sabor Decepción total. Poner una queja no sirve de nada. Solamente el show la animación de zumba y un fotógrafo fue lo único bueno. No es lo mismo. Somos clientes frecuentes y no creo volver

Struggled to find it luckily we made the 3pm ferry otherwise we would have struggled in the dark - we were meant to have a bungalow with sea view but another family of 4 ended up with it as they had obviously messed up bookings ! We had a bit of food my partner sent it back to cook a bit more but still couldn’t eat it ! So 2 dishes I had pasta 2 beers and 2 waters it was like $75 I explained we had a very early start from Puerto Vallarta in Mexico - up at 3am - 2 flights and a bumpy ride from San Jose - so we went to bed at 7pm - a party of diners were excited and quite loud but at 9pm the music started - karaoke or something - dreadful country & western ! Singing happy birthday - would have been polite to mention ! Not impressed
