Beautiful hotel, amazing pool, delicious variety of breakfast, overpriced lunch, but be-aware that this hotel is on the outskirts of Tangier, so very far from the centre about 1 hour drive if your lucky with the traffic! also if you don’t have a car then this hotel is not suitable for you, as medina taxis don’t come here, it cost £35 for a vip taxi from the hotel and that’s expensive.

Sorry to say that we do not believe the hotel is up to its 5 star standard. It is a good hotel and the hotel does take care to look after it and make it enjoyable for people staying but if you are expecting 5 star quality it will let you down. In the room, inside the kettle, the coffee cup and the spoon were dirty (these hadn’t had a clean before us arriving), there was an awful sewage smell coming from the drain in the shower so bad that if we didn’t shut the bathroom door ah all times our room smelt revolting (this was room 336) I don’t know if it’s a general thing or just unlucky with the room. It felt like at times staff would favour people who have stayed at the hotel before (regulars) or people who had been staying there for a few days rather than welcoming new people. Finally, to top off our stay here, 5am we needed to leave for the airport, we asked the reception if he would kindly just call us a taxi, he told us this would be a charge of 250 DHR (we already knew this should have been no more than 150), we said no thank you walked into the street and got a taxi for 100 DHR. Very bad

My recent stay at the Barcelo Hotel in Tangier was a wonderful experience that exceeded my expectations. Location: The hotel is perfectly located on the seafront, with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. It is within walking distance of the center of Tangier, making it easy to explore the city. Rooms: My room was spacious, modernly furnished and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the amenities such as the free Wi-Fi, minibar, and flat-screen TV made my stay very enjoyable. The balcony with a sea view was an absolute highlight. Service: The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and professional. From the moment I checked in until my departure I felt very welcome. Food and drink: The breakfast buffet was extensive and of high quality, with a wide choice of both local and international dishes. The hotel restaurant serves delicious meals, and the room service was fast and efficient. Facilities: The hotel facilities are excellent. The pool and gym are well maintained and provide a great way to relax. The hotel also has meeting rooms and a business center, making it ideal for business meetings. Conclusion: I highly recommend the Barcelo Hotel Tangier to anyone looking for a comfortable and luxurious stay in Tangier. The combination of the excellent location, the luxurious rooms, the great service and the high-quality facilities ensures an unforgettable experience.

The hotel merits the 5 star rating. Excellent all around. Breakfast is worth praising for the selection and quality of the produce. The staff is very attentive to guests' needs and comfort. A word of praise for the assistant floor/reception manager who out of his way to see to it that my stay was pleasant and memorable. Would only advise not to arrange airport pick-up through the hotel. The service will cost more than double that of a regular taxi. Otherwise, and as a seasoned world traveler, I strongly recommend the hotel.

Going at the end of March, the hotel is located in the mountainous area on the outskirts of Tangier, Morocco, and the scenery is relatively good. But because it is Ramadan, there are not many basic guests, and the swimming pool is under maintenance. The buffet for $50 per person is relatively low cost, the food is not much and it is not added, the customer service staff basically does not understand English, and the communication is relatively difficult. Breakfast ordered a 200ml cup of orange juice, charged $12, a bit outrageous, of course, the room facilities reached the five-star standard. After leaving the hotel, I found that I had overcharged an inexplicable $250 and had asked the bank for a refund. The overall service level can be at the star level of 2-3. Not recommended, the price is too low.

The hotel is not in the city center but at the beach. The room size is very large. The service is good, but the price of the car charter is too expensive, and the euro is paid at the time of settlement, but the Dirham is deliberately changed. Others are fine.
