Red Roof Inn Tampa - Brandon

It wasn’t the way I looked and the description is terrible 👎

This is a very rundown and dirty motel. I could even bring myself to use the shower.

Clean room and nice staff. Simple check in and check out

I am never staying at a Red Roof Inn ever again because this one just ruined the entire brand’s reputation for me. When we got there, we found things that were odd but we were willing to pull through with it for one night. The tub had hairs in it, the quilt had a dry stain on it and holes as well, the bathroom door was falling apart on one corner. What was an absolute dealbreaker was getting up at 3 AM to go to the bathroom and turning on the lights to find at LEAST 10 small roaches walking around the floor. When we were packing our things, my friend picked up a shoe and about 5 small roaches crawled out from underneath the shoe, which I have a video of and I will add frames from it, since I can’t upload the video itself. It was not an easy decision to make a 4 hour drive back home at 3 AM without any sleep, but it was better than asking to get a new room because I’m 100% sure every other room was gonna be the same nightmare. When I asked for a refund, I was told I could only get a refund if i had asked for it within the first hour after checking in, as if I get to decide when their army of roaches wakes up. I dont mind simplicity at all from a hotel, but basic hygiene is a must, and if they had a roach infestation, it must mean basic hygiene is not even something they do on the daily or care about. Oh also, there was cops at the hotel when we checked in and again, I didn’t pay any mind to it because anything can happen at any hotel, but later in the night, the area got sketchy so I’m sure the police makes their rounds here every day. If you want a decent place to get some rest and take a shower, I swear a Motel 6 is WAY better than this. This Red Roof needs to get shut down, because management is not gonna do anything to fix their problems. Please avoid at all costs.
