The Westshore Grand, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Tampa

My room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I got a couple nights of excellent sleep...which is always the goal. The rooms could use a little updating, but I really cannot complain about the state of my room. There is free self parking in the ramp behind the hotel. The ramp has an entrance directly into the hotel. The front desk staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. There are numerous dining options within a short drive or walk.

Shockingly bad. Checked in on July 4th to a cold/unfriendly reception. The staff member didn’t tell us any information about the hotel, where to park, the pool is OUT OF SERVICE, or even where the elevators are. Things just went downhill from there. The room was so ragged and in a state of disrepair. Toilet almost didn’t flush, carpets ripped, dirty/dusty ac vent. We booked this property so my toddler could enjoy the pool what a let down that we would have to go to another hotel to use their pool. Never staying here again. There’s too many options in the Tampa area to put up with this 2* motel.

I really expected more from a Marriott, especially one under the Tribute Portfolio. Unfortunately, this stay was a letdown from the start. The building itself is a converted office building, and honestly, it feels like it. It’s the definition of lipstick on a pig—looks decent in photos but once you’re there, the issues are hard to ignore. The hallways had a strange smell, the parking setup felt awkward and borderline unsafe, and the room… let’s just say it needs help. The tub drained painfully slow, the shower heads could definitely use replacing, and the headboard was literally peeling. The bed? So firm it felt like I was sleeping on the floor. These might sound like small details, but together they really added up. The whole room just felt tired and in need of a full renovation. The one redeeming part of the stay was the bar. Eva, the bartender, was awesome, super warm and made everyone feel welcome. The food wasn’t bad either, but it was barely warm when it came out. Not terrible, but nothing to rave about. All in all, this place doesn’t live up to the Marriott name. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Robin was awesome. Gave me 5 star service each visit to the restaurant and was bright, cheery , and pleasant.food was fast and tasty.

The hotel is always fantastic and the best part of my stay is coming to see Eva!! She makes it feel like home.Thank you Eva. The lobby coffee is great and valet excellent. Always my go to place to stay. Definitely go check out the courtyards. This place is great. Get yourself some coffee.

This hotel is screaming for a makeover. The rooms are outdated and dark. The lighting is old and bulbs are dim. The ac in our room was blowing cool, not cold air. The tv didn’t have any premium channels or apps such as Netflix. I also didn’t enjoy opening the curtains and seeing people working in offices across the courtyard. There were long hairs on two of our bath towels. And for as big as this hotel is, there’s no real nice restaurants in it. The staff we encountered were all extremely friendly and helpful.
