I booked a zen room on Trip.com, it was a special offer. When I arrived at the hotel, I was first given a standard room because the reservation had come with them as a standard room instead of a zen room. They apologized, but they also kept repeating that they would upgrade me for free. It's not an upgrade that I get a room that I have paid for and that Trip.com sold me. They should and should have sorted out the matter directly through Trip. The room itself was clean, the jacuzzi was so loud that it was impossible to use it for relaxation. In addition, the plug was stuck, making it difficult to empty. The food in the restaurant was substandard. Breakfast, on the other hand, was really good. Lots of things that could be fixed with a little effort.

Pefect stay with good service and faciloties. I enjoyed my stay a lot. We had a colourful and tasteful breakfast every day. Small chat at the reception whenever we need to ask something. We felt like home.

Great hotel and good service. The whole family loved it. Cozy courtyard and shopping center within walking distance. The hotel was cozy and atmospheric. The old town is also close by.

Location was very good just outside the old town but very close to the main Railway Station and on a direct bus from the Airport (Bus 2). The ferry terminal can be done in a brisk 30 minute walk or via bus/tram. The building has been tastefully refurbished and the rooms are very comfortable with full bath and shower facilities and excellent WIFI. There is also a nice courtyard to sit out in when the weather allows this. The breakfast is also very good with fresh ingredients and plenty of choice. Check in was an issue however. Queues of people and only one person to check people in (3pm). Not only that my room was not ready as was the people in front of me. People arriving later were able to access rooms! Check in process needs to be revised as does the cleaning process to ensure all rooms are ready from 3pm.

We stayed 2 nights here at the start of our Intrepid Travel Premium Baltic tour. An historic building so there are some design foibles eg no disabled access at all to get to reception. “Character” rooms with small bathrooms mostly too. The lift was appreciated as was the good free wi-fi. Thin towels and too soft bed pillows; but an in room safe and good room lighting. We were in a quieter back room = #214 so we avoided the busy road intersection traffic noise, even with our windows open. The buffet breakfast was pleasing though the infra-red heat lamps do not really keep the pre-cooked hot food, warm / hygienic. The edge of Tallinn Old Town is a 500 m slight up-hill walk away; so the location is good. The nearby, Asian themed, Ginger Cafe Restaurant is recommended.
