As described. A safe place but don't forget to have a lock for your belongings for other visitors. There are lockable cabinets overhead. Also the cabin beds are very good, you can create a private area by covering them with a blanket yourself. I guess I didn't have any problems with toilets and bathrooms because I didn't go during the season. Thank you🎀

The facilities were well cleaned. I did not have any issue. Also using provided linen, privacy of small bed is secured. Also the lamp is equipped with USB socket. No trouble at all. Only thing you should be aware is no locker is available. If you have luggage you can store it in the backyard securely.

The location is good.
However, because the price is so cheap, there are many people who seem to be long-term residents and I worry that they may be taking something illegal in Japan, so I felt uneasy about the security aspect.
The toilets, showers, and rooms are mixed and only have the bare necessities. I have stayed in mixed dormitories in various countries, mainly in Europe, but this one left me with a very strong feeling of uneasiness. I would not recommend it, especially for women.
As long as it's cheap, I think it's fine.

Unfortunately we found the hygiene of the structure and our room very poor. Upon arrival the pillowcases were frayed (hair and eyelashes of those who passed before us) and I asked for a replacement; unfortunately however the duvet was also visibly dirty (stained). I felt uncomfortable, I would have preferred more hygiene and care, despite the simplicity of a hostel. The description of the room on Booking was also misleading, as we thought we had a bathroom in the room, while it was one shared with two other rooms - also this in often disappointing hygienic conditions. Too bad, because the location is good.

We arrived at the hostel because of its location and rate. It is indeed in the historic center, this is its strength. Otherwise, the first thing is that the hostel does not have a notice at the entrance of the building, so you have to enter and then on the second floor look for another door, which they open for you to go up to the third level where the reception is finally located and they do the check-in. We booked a private room, but the location on the second floor had the problem that people entering or leaving made noise when passing through the hallway, as I say it is an old building and this does not allow you to rest well. The bathrooms are located on the fourth floor and are common for men and women. The kitchen, although large, is kept quite messy and unclean. Otherwise there is not much more to say about this place, the person who was always at the reception was friendly. If you want to save and be located in the center this is your hotel, if you have a better budget it is worth looking at more options.

Hostel quite nice but average cleanliness, temperature quite cold in the room. I stayed in a single room which is located near the entrance. The room was quite cold I had to sleep dressed. Quite noisy with the many passages and the shower nearby was out of order. Toilets nearby moderately clean. Positive point the staff and the pleasant common areas, the kitchen is very large. The location is very pleasant.

Sorry to give a negative review, but unfortunately a room with beds like that should absolutely not be put on sale, if I slept on the floor my back would certainly have benefited more, very good welcome and excellent location.
