Horrible customer service. Our daughter called to ask if the hotel had power after a tornado had hit. She was told yes, that they were running on a generator and regular power would be up in a few hours. 10 hours later no power (no air). Our daughter would not have driven over 7 hours to pay to be in this situation. They were not transparent with paying customers. Just lost some today. Will not return.

On 11/16/2024 at 11:30 AM, I waited at the front desk for 15 minutes to check out and no one ever came. I called and could hear the phone ringing in the lobby but no one answered. I finally peeked through a doorway into the back and the female desk attendant was hunched over the desk. I didn’t know if she was sleeping or possibly hurt because she apparently didn’t hear the phone ringing. I found another guest, a very nice man, who offered to just go back and check on her. She was sound asleep. She never addressed the incident and offered no apology. We will not be returning.

Booked hotel because of location. Give it 5 stars for that. Easy to walk every where you need to go. So the negatives... They have a hot water issue. We had to switch rooms because our room was so high up the hot water just wasn't coming to it. (Is what I was told) Which is ridiculously you come to stay some where expecting to be able to turn hot water on and take a shower but instead you have to move rooms. I guess they went to the second room we got and let the water run for it to get hot. Which great it worked. Came back later that evening to take a shower once again waited full 10 Mins to have hot water. Not enjoyable. Secondly, the traffic noise is very loud!! Hotel needs an update in my opinion as well. Sofa bed was a joke like sleeping on springs. Parking is $30 and that's self parking. Marriott do better for what your prices are.

The food provided by the Residence Inn was amazing. Snacks, wine and beer until 7:30pm. Breakfast 6:30-9:30, great assortment. Bed was comfy. Could use new carpeting, stains, small worn out spots. Bathroom tiles (cracked) in shower, need to be replaced not mended with grout. The biggest negative was the roach that greeted me outside the trash container in the kitchenette, on the evening prior to our check out the next day. I hate those things.

Very comfy beds. We stayed in a 2 bdrm suite, was spacious. Bathrooms are in need of a reno, but room itself was nice. Breakfast was fine. Only complaint is that they should have longer hours, at least by an half an hour and would recommend they leave coffee service out all day. Seems silly that they put that away. Staff seemed very nice and accomodating. Manager is terrific. Was concerned about the location and noise, based on reviews, but it really did not interfere. If you are super sensitive bring earplugs as during week there is construction behind the hotel. I am pretty light sleeper and truly was not bothered, esp. w my earplugs in. I liked the location too. Convenient to walk to little shops and food. I would def stay here again.

So after driving 7 hours, we rolled into the lobby to check in around 7:00pm on July 6th. I didn't think there was anyone at the front desk but then a lady came out of a little office to the right. She didn't utter a word but instead raised her glue on eyelashes at me as if to signal "what do you need?" I said, hello, how are you today? She said "fine." That was one of the 11 words she said to me. The other ten were "put this in your car or it will get towed" as she handed me the keys and the parking pass. That was it. Not that I need a welcoming committee, but it was such an awkward interaction that when the 3 of us got the elevator, we all looked at each other in bewilderment and surprise. We all have bad days I guess. But that wasn't it. The room was kinds ugh. Hot and musty. Took quite a bit to cool down with outside temps in the 90's. The noise is unbearable. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to get extremely drunk so you pass out. Or bring some really good earplugs. We were on the East side of the hotel. The car noise is non-stop. I think every 3rd car in Tallahassee has a modified muffler to make it 25x louder than it should be. On the good side, the breakfast was convenient and pretty tasty for a hotel breakfast. We don't plan on staying here again though. We'll have to try somewhere else.

Better check your bank statements to make sure this hotel doesn't charge you for an additional night's stay. Booked/paid through a 3rd party and Marriott also charged me after the fact. Been trying for 3 weeks to get a refund. One of the managers, Tiana is super rude and thinks it's okay to charge guest an additional night's stay and expects guests to complete the hotels accounts receivables on her behalf - and if your upset about getting charged twice she'll make sure to spell her name for you so you can get it right when you have to call corporate or escalate the issue. All these reviews about how Keith Hoogerheyde is a great GM - but he has yet to respond to my email or correct the issue. Guess it's back to Hilton.

Pros - Location - Front Desk Associate: pleasant, professional and very engaging during checkin. - Room quality and cleanliness Cons - The rooms on the same side as the bar are horrendous! You can hear everything from the bar music, to the motorcycles just outside the building and pretty much EVERYTHING else. It is such a disappointment given I just drove five hours, it's ten minutes to 11pm and I have to start early tomorrow and then drive another five hours. As a lifetime Platinum Marriott member I was certainly hoping this location would work for future stay. It will not. I'm entirely aggravated but it's not the fault of the people that work in the hotel. This is an issue with the owner and others responsible for knowingly creating an absolutely awful experience for travelers. There is no way these folks aren't aware of the issues and yet there's been nothing to forewarn guests BEFORE booking.

I am beyond disappointed with the way the front desk, management and the supervisor have been handling my situation. Hours have now been lost on my communicating over a phone charger I left behind. I stayed at this hotel on June 6-8 so we could attend an FSU orientation for my daughter. We loved the amenities and everything went well, overall. Checkout for us was fast because we needed to be at FSU by 8:30am on W for another day of orientation. I was running behind, and sent my daughter and her father on their way. As I rushed out, I told myself to grab my charger I had left bedside, in the outlet under the lamp, but through the haste I forgot it. I realized it immediately, but didn’t turn around. I was already late. I called and spoke with a young lady at the desk. She told me she would let housekeeping know. I assumed they’d call, or something. But, they never did. After orientation, on Wednesday, June 8th( around 3pm, I went to the inn and the young lady at the desk looked around and said there was nothing found. She tells me she will be sending me a lost item report. I fill it out immediately. I get a call that same evening, of June 6th, at 6:30, from Armani, as I am driving back to Orlando, that they found my charger. They will mail it out on Thursday morning. I never received further communication, and noted today, Sun, June 11th that my lost item case hasn’t been resolved. Therefore, I call and Armani answers. She calls her supervisor, he explained to her that he didn’t send it because he is waiting for me to fill out the lost item form. The one I already filled out. I explain this to her, and she calls him again. I am waiting now for this communication over half an hour on the phone to take place and trying my best to be patient with this whole scenario that is rightfully disappointing. She comes back on after talking to the supervisor that she was able to pull up the case, because I gave her the case number and found it for her supervisor and they will mail it out. This whole entire time, I want to say thank you at the same time because Armani was being respectful and doing everything she could do on her part. After hanging up with Armani, on June 12th, I received an email, that tells me my item has been found and it now informs me that I am to pay $25 to receive my item back. Frustration kicks in. This is now about principle. I call back, and I don’t hear the name because when they answer they speak so fast over the phone so I’m not sure if it’s Armani. Either way, once I begin speaking up, she explains she is one of the managers. She says her name, and because of what happens afterwards, I dropped it completely. Taylani, or Tayana, or… I wanted to know her name, and she became upset because I tried to understand her name, and pronounce it, or maybe she became upset because I have become an inconvenience… or I am not sure, but either way, the manager is escalating her voice level and tone and explains to me, My lost item was no
