Although this is a new and updated listing, we have been hosting guests for 25+ years in our beautiful and memorable log home located on the banks of the Susitna River. Our historic home has a large yard and picnic area with gorgeous views of Mt. Denali and the Alaska Range. We are located just a half mile from the iconic village of Talkeetna.If you desire an authentic Alaskan log home experience, this is the place for you!If you’re Interested in hosting an event or wedding, contact us!The spaceWhile staying with us you will have the entire guest house, which is the top two private stories of our log building and includes 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. There is an additional sleeping area in the upstairs hallway located outside the bedrooms with a small double fold down futon couch. Located on the property is a part time long-term renter in a bottom floor apartment, and the owner keeps a small apartment over the garage for use when he is in town. The only shared space may be the yard or the driveway.While staying here, enjoy a large comfortable open kitchen and sitting area on first level. There is one full bathroom on this level that includes a washer and dryer. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, each hosting a queen bed and river views. The master bedroom, the ‘Talkeetna’, has a private full bathroom. The other two bedrooms are called the ‘Susitna’ and the ‘Chulitna’.
