This hotel/spa is a real gem. The ambience, staff, food, facilities were first rate. Brunch and breakfast cooked fresh by a Cef you can go and chat too. Spa massage was an hour by professional staff that left me feeling totally relaxed. The outdoor pool, prosecco in hand...it was raining but that just enhanced the experience. Blok restaurant needs to be experienced. My room was lovely with the biggest, comfiest bed. The small and kind gestures for my birthday just completed a lovely overnight stay. Can't stop telling people about Lanelay. I will return. Thank you x

Had a memorable birthday celebration here staying in the spacious Edwards suite. Family members stayed too, we enjoyed being together, a refreshing afternoon swim, a delicious dinner, the prawns were the best I’ve ever tasted & another early morning swim before leaving after a hearty breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyable & will definitely return.

Really not worth the hype. Spa was full of damp and mould. The changing rooms was very dirty and smelt very bad from the damp and mould. I’ve ended up with a bad chest from my stay. Wanted £50 for two just to swim in outside pool. Had to pay £25 extra for one hour early check in only to spend that time having to change rooms as there was no bathroom door and the bed was in front of the toilet. When asked to change rooms was given the choice of a downgrade or an unsuitable room.

Had an amazing experience at the lanelay hotel. The spa is great and the rooms exceeded our expectations. Tom who works behind the bar was incredible and made sure we had the most amazing time. Thank you wil definitely be coming back in the near future!

We held a celebration of life afternoon tea event in the Lady Mary Cole suite for my late wife in September and it was wonderful - everything we had hoped for. The venue was perfect and for the forty family and friends in attendance it was intimate and comfortable. The afternoon tea was a delight and there were so many cakes, most guests took what was leftover home with them. The staff were also wonderfully helpful and accommodating. We could not be happier with the way it went. Thank you Lanelay Hall for a fitting tribute to my wife at her favourite afternoon tea destination.

Wow! To begin with we were confused, a housing estate has been built around the hotel, which is odd. As soon as we walked inside we were relaxed. We had a huge lovely room, new bathroom and all immaculately decorated and clean. We almost went out to eat but after a drink in the bar we changed our minds and SO glad we did. The restaurant is amazing. I’m not sure how anyone can find fault. We ate there both nights and everything was faultless, food and service. In fact throughout the hotel every member of staff we interacted with was superb! We originally booked for spa facilities, which are small, but the star is the restaurant and overall service. Would return. Also if looking for something to do in the area, we went to Cardiff and the mcgarthu Glenn outlets but the best thing we did was a trip just up the road for a tour around the Royal Mint which was excellent.

Decor very questionable. Odd colours, zebra heads sticking on walls. Personally would have preferred something more classic in keeping with the building. As a hotel guest felt very much a second class citizen using the spa facilities. You’re only allowed to use the hot tub outdoor pool for a millisecond every second full moon or something. Otherwise you get sniffly told it’ll be charged to your room. Meanwhile the changing rooms are the size of a postage stamp and staff will merrily waltz around telling spa guests they are ‘delightful’! while scowling at hotel guests. The bar is some kind of spa waiting room, but drinks and food were nice. Steak place massively overhyped thanks to Instagram and sadly under delivered with an over cooked steak. Room saved it for us, as was lovely and spacious. Breakfast seemed to be served in someone’s kitchen and the server was lovely, but was a tad odd to watch someone doing the washing up at the same time as enjoying a cooked breakfast. Overall nice. But odd.

Visited here for my daughters birthday nothing was to much trouble for them to make our stay lovely relaxing night away the staff was lovely the rooms and spa was very clean and breakfast was amazing couldnt fault nothing about this place would recommend for a lovely relaxing place to chill out in the spa would visit again…

I booked for my partners birthday and it didn’t disappoint absolutely beautiful place. The room was lovely and very clean. We had Sunday lunch in the BLOK and it was fabulous. We’ve just booked to stay again for our anniversary can’t wait to revisit.
