My family and I stayed at Meva several times during our trip to Madagascar and every time we returned, it felt like coming home. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the cook Felama made us amazing food. We stayed in the family room which is huge, like its own apartment with a deck overlooking the large garden (with tortoise-lawnmowers!) Meva feels like a little green oasis in the city, but it is also in the middle of a suburb where you can buy anything you might need. We only walked around the neighbourhood during the day but it felt very safe. Highly recommend this place! We would love to stay here again. FYI: The owners of Meva, Ramartour, also run École Lodge just outside of the city, which we also loved. It's a more quiet rural experience but still close to the airport. (Ramartour offers very reliable and safe airport transfers to both Meva and École Lodge).

Clean and comfortable rooms. We had the room in the main building on the first floor, which has a big balcony. From there you have a nice view of the surroundings. The location is perfect, as a starting point to discover the area without being stuck in traffic getting in Tana. It is also close to the international airport. If you like, you can have tasty lunch/dinner at the guesthouse or book a tour. Would recommend!

We received a warm welcome, despite the late hour we arrived. The room was very clean and comfortable, with small, thoughtful touches throughout (e.g drinking water and a snack were given). The property is beautiful and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Madagascar.

Meva is very close to Ivato airport and we stayed here because we had booked a car with driver with Ramartour who operates the guest house. The rooms were simple but nice and staff were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent and so were the drivers who picked us up at the airport and drove us to Andasibe and then to Toliara.
