Ilmare Unarizaki

3 star hotel near Uehara. Friendly staff. Reasonable breakfast. Good location for diving, water sports and trekking. Need to provide more details about eco-plan.

Our sea-view room had a truly magnificent view of the bay. Overall, however, the hotel is a bit dated and needs some TLC. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't heat up, and since it was quite chilly during our visit, we were a bit chilly at times, and our clothes didn't dry overnight. Breakfast was a Japanese buffet with fish and miso soup, as well as rolls and jam. The staff was friendly and helpful, but communication in English was sometimes difficult.

Even though the trip to Uehara Port has been cancelled for over a week and all sea activities have been wiped out, they treated me as if it was normal to come because the land is fine. I'm going to Iriomote, so I asked if there was anywhere I could snorkel even in places with weak waves, but there was no information. And they treated me as if it was normal to charge a cancellation fee. If you're going to Iriomote for the first time, I recommend you read the time and cancellation period carefully before you go. It was a good experience. I won't ask them next year. I'll definitely come back, especially with the night tour and Iriomote Tours' cancellation policy that cancellations are free until 6:00 p.m. the day before, and I'm thinking of asking the related Ishigaki Tours while I'm still here. It was a disappointing company to deal with.
