Eco Village Iriomote

雨のゴールデンウィーク。お願いしていたお迎えも忘れられました。浜にも行けず、予約していたアクティビティも雨で中止になりました。何も出来ないまま部屋でテレビを見るしかありませんでした。そして、水源が詰まって水の供給が止まった‼️翌朝、頂いたペットボトルで歯を磨き、顔を洗い、トイレも流しました。旅史上初めての事です。でも、そのトラブルのお陰でとても嬉しい若い方との出会いがあり、旅のサポートをして貰いました。神様は見捨てなかった(笑)で、お料理だけはとても美味しかったです。豪華な物ではありませんでしたが、沖縄の郷土料理を旨くアレンジしてあり、これだけで他のトラブルも半分帳消しになったかな(笑)

海に面した立地はよいです。周りに建物はなく、静かです。離島ですが、食事の質は確保されています。

The location, the people, the food, the room, everything was satisfactory and I enjoyed it very much. The sunrise was so beautiful that I watched it while swimming every morning. The pool and the beach were right in front of the room. Because it is located in the middle of nature, you need to rent a car to do activities outside of the hotel. I recommend that you plan what you want to do in advance before visiting. If you want to join a tour, you have to rent a car to get to the meeting point by yourself, so it is better to arrange a rental car in advance. The staff were kind and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Thank you very much. I will visit again someday.

I have been to Iriomote Island many times, but this is the first time I stayed in this villa room for 4 nights. In conclusion, staying there was a big mistake. It's amazing how good Rakuten's reviews are. Bad things ① Check-in I arrived at the inn at the time when check-in was possible, but the front desk was absent. I can't get through even if I call the specified number. Finally, the phone was connected to someone who seemed to be the owner, but he said, "Wait a minute," and after waiting 20 minutes, he didn't come. I was able to check in after 30 minutes. I was disappointed. While I was waiting, I tried to sit on a rattan chair in front of the lobby, and there was a lot of spider webs. At least around the entrance should be clean. ② Room The screen door was broken and the window could not be opened. The door is badly set up, so it won't close unless you pull it with force. The extension phone is broken. If you put your clothes in the provided closet, it will be full of insect droppings. A cockroach came out, so it may be a cockroach. ③ staff There is no basic. In the midst of this, I occasionally meet an elderly man who seems to be the owner. Did it bother you to stay? Only the young male staff was pleasant. ④ Cleaning I stayed for 4 nights, but I never changed the cleaning sheets. The room description says once every 3 nights... You can change towels yourself at the front desk. The style of going to take out the garbage by yourself. There is zero feeling of a resort. I think there are reasons such as COVID-19 response and labor shortage, but I would like you to write that in the accommodation information. It is quite questionable that the price is the same even for consecutive nights without any care. The beach in front of you is full of flotsam and the grass on the way down isn't even mowed. ⑤ Dinner It is quite expensive for the contents. Good things ① Room The ceiling was high and there was a sense of openness, and the sea could be seen directly in front. The extra bed is also a nice rattan style with a proper mattress, and it can be used as well as the main bed, and the children were delighted. ②Pool Fresh water. There were no other users, so I was able to use it freely. ③ Washing machine and dryer It was nice to be able to use it for free. However, there is no laundry pan and the ground is always flooded. The spider's web is also amazing, so if you drop the washed laundry, you'll have to start over. ④Breakfast There is a change every day, and the amount is sufficient. Especially the fish and simmered dishes were all delicious.
