It has high ratings on all reservation sites, so I wanted to try staying there myself, and went to the fresh green Okuhida "Momiji" and it turned out to be highly rated. The cost performance was very good, and I was really soothed by the personality of the young female proprietress and the smiles of the staff. What I liked: The food was delicious (the seasoning was great) The dining area was mostly private and had chairs (so my feet didn't hurt) The rooms were clean and the Ryukyu tatami mats were fresh and relaxing The outdoor bath in the room was fed by a natural hot spring, with hot spring flowers. The outdoor bath in the room was large enough for two people to comfortably fit in. The large public bath was not crowded and was almost always reserved except in the evening. It seemed to be almost fully booked, but the inside of the building was very quiet. The staff remembers your face and will say hello to you You can use the large public bath and the free private bath as many times as you like during your stay There is a full-fledged coffee machine in the vending machine in the lobby, which was great for me as I wanted to have a coffee after my meal (200 yen) What's disappointing You can't wash yourself in the open-air bath in the guest room (no shower) You can just go to the large public bath to wash yourself, but I think it would have been perfect if there was a shower facility next to the open-air bath in the guest room However, this is probably because there is a problem of freezing outdoors There is a unit bath toilet (photo) in the guest room, so you can solve the problem by using that You add water to the open-air bath in the guest room to adjust the temperature, but the hose is an ordinary hose for washing cars and it's not very tasteful I thought they could have made it a little better Points to note In the parking lot, it is better not to park tall cars in the semi-underground We managed to get in with our minivan, but the rear hatch wouldn't open If you accidentally open it, it will crack (it was close) The official website states that "children are not allowed" There is also no foreign language support (only Japanese) There is no elevator. There are stairs to the guest rooms on the second floor. I think there are guest rooms on the first floor as well, but it's worth checking. I was impressed by the young master and his wife, as well as the staff, who welcomed guests with smiles on their faces. As humans, we can sometimes have physical or mental breakdowns, and at times like these, our customer service can become rude. However, this may not be the case at this inn. This is "Momiji," an inn with customer service professionals.
