The rooms are all on the B1 floor. The corridor is dark and a bit depressing. Fortunately, each room has a window and a view of the courtyard. It may be because of the hillside. The hot spring bathroom is small and good.

I booked a family room with mountain view, but there was no view from the room. The room was on the underground first floor, opposite the bathroom and public bathhouse, which had a strong smell. The sanitary conditions were relatively poor compared to the Japanese hotels I stayed in along the way.

Highly Recommended for a Traditional Japanese Stay Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. It was my first experience at a ryokan. Mainly chose this place because it is reasonably priced with private onsen and shower. The ryokan has both public and 3 private onsen. The private onsen goes by a simple manual reservation system by writing your name on the whiteboard outside the onsen if the onsen is not available. As the ryokan is not very big, there are not too many guests, it isn’t hard to book the private onsen. There is a sink and toilet in the room. Room size is sufficient for 3 adults and was well equipped with amenities, it was also warm and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner was provided in the room price. Food is served at the common dining area (not in the room), but even at the common dining area, there was privacy screen that split the area, giving each group privacy. Do note however that you will need a vehicle to get to the ryokan as it is in a mountainous region and nowhere near the train station.

A beautiful Ryokan. We were welcomed with kindness and hospitality. They brought our luggage to the room, provided us with yukatas and offered amazing traditional food. The private baths were the highlight and we will miss them greatly. Highly recomend.
