Smile Hotel Takaoka Ekimae Reviews

The hotel is fine actually. Although I expected similar quality as the Smile Hotel back in Osaka. I thought that as a hotel chain would make their quality universally around the country. There is no ranking in between their company that says the quality levers in different regions. The infrastructure and design was a lot less-quality and clean comparing to the one in Osaka. It almost felt like those two are from different ages. However, it was enough for an economic travel.

I'm looking for suggestions that are both budget-friendly and clean. Cleanliness is a top priority for me, but I also need to stick to a tight budget. Any recommendations that balance both would be greatly appreciated. I'm open to various options, as long as they meet these two criteria. Thanks in advance for your help!

Neat and clean hotel near Takaoka Station with very low price

The hotel facilities are old. It is relatively close to Takaoka Station and not far from Zuiryuji Temple. Overall, Takaoka is a small city. If you go to Himi to get around, you can consider staying here, but it is not recommended.

The location is relatively remote. The room is too small and cramped.

I used it on a solo trip. It's very close to the station and has great access. I could only get a smoking room, but it had an air purifier so it wasn't a problem! Breakfast was included for 800 yen.

Although it is a business hotel, the slippers were sturdy and the explanation of the amenities was clear and easy to understand. I was grateful that I could make payments using QR code payments. The parking lot is a little narrow, so it might be difficult for people who don't like parking.

It was close to the station and very accessible, so I could get to Toyama city in about 30 minutes. The room was simple and clean. There was a convenience store nearby, so it was convenient.

Takaoka is a large countryside, and the hotel is generally good. It is very close to JR Takaoka Station, but a certain distance from JR Shin-Takaoka.

The smell of smoke in the room was too strong. We stayed in a non-smoking room. jr is very close and you can see it when you come out. There is no problem with ordinary accommodation, because you go out in the morning and come back to sleep at night.

The location is very strategic

It's pretty good.
