It was in the middle of Taipei City, so it was very convenient to get around. The price was also the cheapest in Taipei. The building was very old, but the hotel seemed to have been remodeled. It was clean, but it felt very old. The room we got didn't have a window, so I wondered if it would be well ventilated.

If you are looking at a happening location, ximending is your choice. Very crowded and noisy, especially at night with lots to shop and eat. About 10 minutes walk from the mrt station.
Hotel is located on the 9th and 10th floor. Very minimal facilities. The curtain is dirty. Water hets hot and cold depending on if a lot of people are showering. Smells of cigarettes in the walkway. If you are ok with minimal, then it's ok with you.
