There are probably a lot of restaurants catering to Japanese people in the area, so I think this was an area that was popular with Japanese people when there were a lot of business travelers to Taiwan in the past.
It's within walking distance of Ningxia Night Market, which has many restaurants, and it's close to Zhongshan Station on the subway, and only one stop from Taiwan Station, so I think it's a great place to use as a base for sightseeing in Taiwan. I personally think it's better than the Ximen area. It's quiet, and for the same price you can get a good room.
It's not a luxury hotel, as I think it would have been used by business travelers in the past, but the rooms are very spacious and clean.

The room smelled, the soundproofing was very poor, it was very noisy late at night, the sound of cars and talking and unknown banging never stopped. I couldn't sleep well all night. The mattress was uncomfortable. The prices on weekends are not cheap. I won't come again.
