It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Jiantan Station. It's easy to walk. It takes less than 10 minutes to Shilin Night Market.
There are so many convenience stores around the hotel, and there are Korean and Japanese restaurants and hotpot restaurants that I don't even think about going anywhere.
Personally, I felt that being closer to the night market than Taipei Main Station was more advantageous for this trip, and I intend to stay at this hotel again when I visit Taiwan again!
The cleaning staff and the people working at the counter are all friendly, and the lobby public bathroom and smoking area are very clean.
The neighborhood itself is quiet, but the soundproofing between rooms seems a little lacking. It's not uncomfortable.
The only thing I regret is that the hotel is very cold. (I visited in January.)
If you feel cold easily, it would be good to bring a separate electric blanket. Also, the blankets are a bit stuffy due to the weather in Taiwan.
Still, I intend to visit again and I would give it at least 9.8 out of 10.
