We love the location of this hotel and it brought back many wonderful memories for us. We have stayed several times before Covid and when our children were still young. Though it was renovated a few years back, however the age and condition are still visibly seen from the rooms n toilets. The staff were nice & polite but non-engaging, maybe because it was a full house hotel always with no lack of guests. We asked if we could hv the parcels to be sent up to the rooms but were rejected nicely and they lent us a trolley to push the boxes to, which was really helpful. There was a missed cleaning service as we removed the Do not Disturb at 3pm. We were told that perhaps the cleaning staff came earlier and we still had the sign on and hence moved on to other rooms and did not returned to ours, despite their last service is 4.30pm and their day ends by 6pm. It was a-bit upsetting that moment as we returned late to find all 3 rooms were uncleaned. We had already skipped cleaning on day 2 and hence would very much wanted the cleaning on day 3. However the staff on duty was kind n sent us towels n bottled water, though the team did not extend any apologies for the skipped cleaning of 3 rooms. Being in the hospitality industry myself, I know there are housekeeping SOPs on checking D&D rooms, but well nvm. Overall, it was really a great 3 star hotel and we will definitely return again because of its great proximity with HuaXi Street night market & street food just right below, and affordable room rates.
