Hotel Relax I

The location is super convenient, right on the 11th floor of the building next to McDonald's. Mitsukoshi department store is across the street, and the Benihana Teppanyaki on B1 is really good, though I'd recommend ordering one set per person – otherwise, it's not enough! Haha.

I booked a hotel near the station to participate in the Taipei Marathon, and I thought it was a good distance since I wanted to use Songshan Airport for my return journey. From Exit M6, head towards Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei and turn left. You'll see McDonald's and Sushiro (known as 'Sushi Lang' in Taipei), and the hotel is right there. There are also plenty of food stalls and restaurants in the vicinity, and you can exchange foreign currency at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi. The National Taiwan Museum is also within walking distance, and Taipei Main Station offers excellent accessibility. The front desk is on the 11th floor, and there are water dispensers on each floor, so you can refill your water whenever needed. (I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and they provided 3 bottles of water.) There's a nice surprise when you check in: you get some snacks.
