Old Man Captain Hostel is in an unbeatable location—right in front of TRA Tainan Station, making it super convenient for travelers. However, the entrance is a bit tricky to find as it’s inside the FamilyMart by the station, so it took me a while to figure out how to get in. There’s also a Ubike station nearby, which makes exploring the city really easy.
The staff were friendly and spoke English well, which made check-in and general communication smooth.
As for the dormitory, the beds were pretty basic, and the room itself was quite small. It wasn’t exactly dirty, but it wasn’t particularly clean either. If you’re just looking for a place to crash for a night or two, it does the job, but don’t expect anything fancy.
Overall, a good option for budget travelers who prioritize location over comfort.

以這個價格和地理位置來說非常的好，特別適合趕早或者晚到的旅人。但還是會稍有些不夠隔音，但房間貼心地準備了耳塞。雖然是公用的衛浴，但看著乾淨敞亮，水量夠大。值得推薦。

The hostel is located in front of Tainan Railway Station, and is very close to the station. The shower area is too shabby, even worse than when serving in the military. It may only be suitable for staying in winter, and the price-performance ratio is average.

衹是入口在全家店內；沒有想過會是這樣所以找了一會兒。
職員不算特別態度好但是有問有答
好像基本上沒有裝修，睡了一晚後身上起了疙瘩，不知是不是床蝨

The location and service are undoubtedly good. I think it is quite good to have so many facilities at such a cheap price.
The only downside is that there are noticeable stains in some of the facilities, but I think this can probably be solved by strengthening the cleaning sometime!

There is not enough hot water for bathing, and the temperature fluctuates. I wonder if too many people are using it? The facilities in the lounge make it as convenient for outsiders as if they were at home.
