Great location in walking distance from Taichung Railway Train Station and bus stations to Sun Moon Lake and near by city park, and mountain amusement attractions! The room assigned was beyond expectation, very clean pleasant and big enough for one person.  I also enjoyed its tasty breakfast! The room rate is very attractive so I highly recommend it.  Will be my top choice for the next visit to Taichung.

This hotel is centrally located, close to Tainan Station, with convenient access to dining, shopping, and transportation. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, including luggage storage, laundry, and taxi booking. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the hotel offers reasonable prices. I particularly enjoyed the view from the window; it was visually pleasing, with good ventilation and plenty of sunlight.

I couldn’t believe that there was no water at night. When I got to the hotel at 9pm on my second day of the journey in Taichung. I wanted to take a shower, and I realized there was no water, I couldn’t even wash my face. I tried to reach out to the front desk, the staff was not helpful, she didn’t provide any solution or alternative options but just said” you need to wait couple hours”. WHAT!! It was unbelievable and unacceptable.

overall is good but if drive car better think twice as car park underground need to use car lift. Just nice during our stay the lift out of service during our check out time. A little bit speechless as heard that spoilt since 9am but we wait until 12:30pm.

I recently stayed at WE2 Hotel in Taichung and was thoroughly impressed! For its modest price, the hotel offers excellent value and comfort. My room was spacious, making it easy to fully open my large luggage and still have plenty of space to move around. Room Comfort • Double Bed – Soft, cozy, and perfect for a restful night’s sleep. • Ample Space – Generous room layout with a dedicated luggage area, so nothing felt cramped. Hotel Amenities • Café – A convenient spot to grab a quick breakfast or light snack before heading out. • Spa – A relaxing retreat to unwind after a day of exploring. • Laundry Room – A real bonus! The washing machine was free to use, and the dryer was available for a small fee—perfect for longer stays. While the only minor downside was the check-in time of 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM, the hotel makes up for it by offering secure luggage storage before and after your stay. Overall, I was very happy with my time at WE2 Hotel. The staff were friendly, the location was convenient, and the facilities made my stay comfortable and hassle-free. I would definitely recommend it to anyone seeking an affordable yet pleasant stay in Taichung.

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, 2mins walk away from the nearest night market (zhonghua rd) and 20mins walk/10min cycle from yizhong night market which in my opinion is the better one. The hotel has many interesting facilities, in particular a slide from the 2nd floor that they encourage every one to try -- including adults! There's also a space for congregating/chilling and an art space for everyone to enjoy. The hotel also has free bikes if one enjoys cycling out to explore. There is complementary parking available, but it is about 2mins drive/5mins walk away from the hotel. We bought the breakfast option and it came with a choice from 4 sets - main course, drink and it was good!

Adequate hotel, but they weren’t flexible with early arrivals - the room was ready, but the reception staff held on to the key until the official check-in hour, leaving one with the impression that I wasn’t a guest but just a number. Note, there’s construction going on outside and this will continue to make the exterior noisy and somewhat unpleasant to look at for the next year or two (writing Aug 2025).

The hotel pre-set the air conditioning, and the room felt incredibly comfortable the moment we entered! There's a self-service laundry and dryer on the 3rd floor. Washing is only NT$50, and drying for NT$10 for ten minutes. Remember to bring NT$10 in change; it's very convenient! Although breakfast is across the street from the hotel, Ai Chu Breakfast Shop is excellent. The set menu includes a drink, omelet, and a soft drink, along with plenty of other options. It's a popular spot for locals, too!

The hotel is spacious and has good pillows. I appreciated the two small stools in the room, which allowed us to have meals comfortably. There’s also free breakfast - while the selection isn’t big, the congee was delicious. There’s also free popsicles at certain times of the day. The location was also great, close to miyahara and the fourth credit union. There’s also a good ramen place across the hotel. The toilets were a little worn out and service standards were average. We were feeling sick from our travels and requested for the hotel to inform us if the rooms become available earlier than the check-in time, but were quickly informed that “that’s not possible, only check-in at check-in time’s available”. Overall, still a good find for a no-hassle short stay.
