Hotels in The Red Gate/The Dai Temple, Tai'an

Excellent! Even though the hotel has been open for many years, it's impeccably clean everywhere. They provided a generous welcome fruit platter, not just a couple of token pieces. Right across from the hotel is Pangu Plaza, which is incredibly convenient for dining and shopping. I forgot to take photos of the breakfast, but it was also very good with a wide variety of choices. The pool water was quite clean, but there were swimming lessons with many children, so I only stayed in for a short time. We also received a small gift upon checking out. The best aspect was the flexibility for early check-in and late check-out, which is a fantastic perk not offered by many hotels. They even called ahead to ask about our arrival time and made sure the room was cleaned beforehand, which was incredibly thoughtful. Our family room was great, featuring two sinks and lots of panda plush toys, which our child absolutely adored.

The hotel is right at the foot of Mount Tai, very close to Hongmen and even closer to the Dai Temple. The room service is very thoughtful, the breakfast is delicious, there are not many varieties but the taste is very good. The local delicacy, millet soup, has a unique flavor. As a foreign tourist, you can try it. The koi in the Dai Temple are fat and plump. The feng shui of Mount Tai is really good.

It was clean and hygienic. We even stored our luggage. The guy at the front desk was very nice. It is also relatively close to Mount Tai, which is very convenient. The hotel is just as shown in the picture. Could be smaller. But there are tables outside, and the overall price/performance ratio is very good! It is right at the foot of the Red Gate of Mount Tai. You have to climb a slope to get up, but since we are here to climb the mountain, a slight slope is not a problem at all. The decoration is very good, there is a small sofa, the space is large, and there is floor heating. When I first arrived, the air conditioner was not turned on and it was not cold. The environment is no worse than that of a hotel. Because it is not close to the road, the environment is very quiet. The price at the foot of the scenic area is very affordable. The mattress is just the right hardness and I slept very comfortably. After climbing Mount Tai, I was so tired that I slept until 1:00 p.m. the next day. Unlike other B&Bs, they didn't rush me to check out. It is definitely the best choice for climbing Mount Tai. In addition, for fried chicken at the foot of Mount Tai, I recommend you go to the nearby Xintiandi Fried Chicken. I tried several restaurants and this one tasted the best.

After the Qingming Festival, I accompanied my father to climb Mount Tai and stayed in this B&B. The courtyard environment is very good, the room is clean and hygienic, the owner is warm and friendly, the price is relatively affordable, and the B&B is very close to the Hongmen Scenic Area (it is directly from the B&B to Tianmen Gate). We stayed for three days and two nights in total, and stayed in both room types. We drove to Tai'an by ourselves. We were thoroughly satisfied with everything: the facilities, cleanliness, ambiance, and service. The owner's family truly embodied the renowned hospitality of Shandong. Just as other reviews mentioned, the wontons made by the owner's mother were absolutely delicious, generously sized with plenty of filling, and excellent value for money. The only minor drawback was that we arrived during a heavy rainstorm, which resulted in the mountain being closed. We didn't hesitate to extend our stay, hoping for better weather tomorrow so we can finally take in the breathtaking panoramic views.
