I stayed here for more than a month. It's in a village, 15 minutes from Jepara City, and 20 minutes walk from a mini market, although you can buy limited provisions from nearby stalls. A waroeng mie ayam nearby can dish out a nice lunch, and the owners are friendly. It's in a teak furniture cottage industry area, and although you can hear electric hand tools in use, the sound of polishing won't disturb, just as the sounds made by farmers (to shoo birds away in paddy harvesting season) and calls to prayers, form a pleasant background. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished, and cleaned daily by a small crew. It's like a family affair. Meals - Indonesian or Western - can be ordered and eaten in the room.
