湯田上温泉で一番大きな旅館（ホテル）です。 繁忙期だったせいか、バイト風の若い女性職員が多かったように思います。 コロナ禍で、部屋への案内なども無く、これでいいのかもしれません。 が、食事の際の接客は、やはりトレーニングされていないなぁと感じました。 お風呂は最上階にあり眺めが良いです。 しかし、内風呂も露天風呂も狭く、サウナは3人という人数制限もあり（遵守していない客もいましたが）、グループや家族連れが入ってくると、居場所が無くなります。 またサウナは21時まで、露天は22時迄、入浴も24時迄で、短かったです。 食事場所ですが、「個室」として通された所は、コロナ禍で使用不可となっているカラオケルームでした。 朝食会場ですが、これまたコロナ対策で窓が開いていましたが、外気温が氷点下であり、また暖房の効きは極めて悪く、早く済ませざるを得ませんでした。 さて、良かったことは、5人で泊まったのですが、タオルやコップがそれぞれ5色あり、間違えることがありませんでした。

決して安くない宿なので、正直びっくりした。
夜の料理は美味しかった。朝のバイキングは今ひとつ。次に予約はしないかもしれない。

時勢と財布、胃の都合で夕食カットのプランを使って申し込みました。 宿泊する前の日に通知が来て、『風鈴屋』さんとの差し替え作業が『未完』だったことを知るくらいありがたいです。 ここの朝食で出されるパンは美味しいそうですし、麓の菓子店兼ベーカリー『小柳』さんで焼いたものを納品してもらっているようです。 朝食自体は季節のものを使っており、私は11月の宿泊だったので『きのこカレー』が出ていました。 露天風呂からは田上の町を見下ろせます。 ここは『Do it Yourself‼︎』の聖地がある三条市に近いので聖地巡礼の際には射程に入れておきましょう。 田上駅に泊まるのは信越線各駅停車のうち、長岡発着便だけです。 送迎バスは予め予約しておきましょう

仕事で泊まるだけだったのでビジネスホテルと同じ広さでしたがとても綺麗でした。
壁は薄いので隣の方の音はめちゃ聞こえます。
今回立地ではなく温泉メインで決めたので
広い温泉にはとても満足しています。
気持ち良かったです！
ただ携帯電波が入らない。
山側だからなのか、
auもSoftBankも一本しか立たず
ポケットwifiは死んでました（ ; ; ）
もちろんホテルのfree Wi-Fiはあるのですが
基本フリーには繋げないので困りました。
これがなければめちゃくちゃ満足度高いです。
あと事前チェックインスタイルを
取っていたので申し込みをしたのに
フロントでは住所を手書きせねばならず
必須項目ならシステム上でそこを入力しないと
完了できないようにシステム変更しておいた方が無駄がないです。
なんのための事前チェックインなんだとあの場で思いました。
スタッフの方の親切度は差が激しいですが殆どの方が優しかったです。

The food was bad, the service was like that of an izakaya, and there was an open-air bath with a full view. Honestly, I couldn't find anything good about it. I won't go there again and I won't recommend it to anyone.
