We had our wedding at Hazlewood in July 2024. It was a wonderful day, and couldn't have gone better. The location is great - it's in the countryside with rolling fields outside the windows, but is also just off the A64 and very easy to get to York. The grounds are spacious and charming (with peacocks wandering about) and the buildings are impressive, but the rooms inside the castle where our wedding took place were compact and felt intimate without being cramped. There is step-free access to the wedding rooms in the castle. Hazlewood provided a wedding coordinator (Kelly) who we liaised with for about a year in advance, helping us arrange the day and answering our many questions. This included booking various rooms for our guests - she was patient and helpful in dealing with our requests. The catering provided by the venue was great, and on the day Hazlewood provided excellent event managers (Chris and Georgia) who helped things run smoothly. We also used certain suppliers recommended by the castle, including our photographers, whom we were very happy with. All in all a very good experience, and would thoroughly recommend as a wedding venue!

Me and my partner to a couples spa overnight stay as a Christmas present. We received all info regarding check in/out times, spa treatments/times and dinner/breakfast reservations a week prior to out visit, had an easy online check in so on arrival had to simply collect out key. All staff were really friendly and accommodating, Happy to help with anything. The spa treatments were brilliant and had an hour in the thermal spa which was also lovely. The food was amazing, the best steak my partner and I have had in a restaurant and the breakfast was brilliant. All in all, couldn't recommend hazlewood castle more and we both cant wait to visit again.

Attended a wedding yesterday. Beautiful place great day and bar staff. However the manager was quite possibly the rudest woman I have ever met. Snapping at guests and threatening to call the rest of the day off because people were singing along to the singer playing his set. Never met a woman with an attitude as bad in my life. Before the bride and groom left the morning after they wanted to have a quick word with her just about a few complaints guests had because of the way she spoke to people to which her reply was. "I'm still not apologising" shocking.

My new wife and I had the absolute joy of having our wedding at Hazlewood Castle. It is a wedding venue that can compete with any out there bar none. The venue and grounds are stunning. You are surrounded by history and beautiful scenery. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent and Kelly, our wedding co-ordinator was an absolute pleasure to work with. I cannot recommend Hazlewood Castle enough as a wedding venue, it will forever have a place in our hearts.

Me and my (now) husband got married at the outdoor venue here in April. We had the most beautiful day. Everything was perfect and stress free. The staff was there before I even knew I needed them they were amazing! It was according to guest (and us of course) the best wedding they have been to. The wedding coordinator took cake of every little detail and I love her for that (thank you, kelly) ! I would highly recommend here for ab outdoor wedding ours was in the woodland so everything was only steps away bo need for a second location. Thank you to all the staff and Kelly for making our day that extra special.

Hazlewood hosted a spectacular event for charity. The evening was fun and fabulous. The staff were great, everything went without a hitch. The glass marquee was a perfect venue for this charity event. I’m pleased to say it raised £15,000. Thank you

They were incredibly flexible and helpful through the day setting up (even finding me a place to change), and then their service during the event was great too! I stayed here with a friend for a relaxing spa break after we both suffered a recent family bereavement. The hotel is stunning and we were made to feel so welcome. The spa treatment was lovely too. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant and drinks in the bar. A big shout out to all of the staff for their professional yet warm hospitality and a big thank you to Amanda. We try had a lovely stay and will certainly return.
