The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the cleanliness and staff deserve the highest praise. The facilities for children are excellent — the large playroom is spacious, tidy, and spotless. The water in the pools is warm, and the pool hygiene is at a very high level. It would be nice if the pool were a bit larger, but everything is kept in good order. The only real drawback is that the pool is located in a separate building and is not connected to the hotel by an indoor passage, which is a significant inconvenience during winter days.

Great location, right next to Lake Balaton, parking outside the hotel and in the garage. 1. Spacious, clean rooms, daily housekeeping, minibar refilling, staff re-checking the room before the evening to make the night comfortable. 2. Excellent childcare, children's corner with lots of activities during the day, playroom, child-friendly toilets, safety features, dinner menus, family park with lots of activities that allow children to fall asleep as soon as you put them to bed. The Family Park is slowly showing signs of use, some things need to be replaced/repaired. 3. Excellent food, varied, lots of options for children, although there are no options for the youngest (up to a year old). This year I saw a lot of flies in the restaurant for the first time, which has a slightly negative connotation. The Tico restaurant has classic fast food, also good. 4. Very helpful, smiling, hardworking staff, they certainly deserve praise. I'm not even mad at the chef who set off the smoke alarm at 5am which woke up half the hotel, at least I know that their alarms work and that security is taken care of. The prices are a bit higher, although compared to Slovenia I don't find many difference. All in all we love this place. Booking is easy, everything agreed upon is respected, there aren't many additional distractions, it's rarely crowded, children have lots of activities, everything is adapted to them, staff is helpful and we will definitely come back again.

We booked the biggest suite (deluxe) and paid the entire amount 6months before the arrival but the hotel booked a smaller one. They could not change to the original size and paid only the gap among the room rates even if 6 month before payment. The compensation not transferred yet even if one week after check out, and 3 reminder mails to the front office management.

Injury on the Waterslide – No Acknowledgement from Hotel Management Review text: I stayed at the Mövenpick BalaLand Resort at Lake Balaton in early June 2025 with my family. Unfortunately, I was injured while using the red waterslide at the hotel’s water park. My hand slipped badly due to what appeared to be a surface or design issue. I immediately informed the hotel staff and later sent a written report to the management. On June 6th, the slide was no longer operational, possibly due to maintenance. Despite this, the hotel director later denied that the incident was caused by any issue with the slide or that it was related to safety concerns. This experience was physically and emotionally difficult, especially since I had expected higher safety standards and a more responsible reaction from a hotel under the Accor brand. I am sharing this experience solely to inform other families and travelers. I hope safety standards will be reviewed more seriously in the future. This post reflects my personal experience and opinion only.

Even though I wasn’t able to stay at the Mövenpick Hotel in Hungary due to the difficult situation in Israel, I felt their kindness and professionalism from afar. The staff were incredibly understanding and supportive during a stressful time, handling everything with empathy and patience. Their willingness to help and accommodate my situation meant a lot to me, and I truly appreciate the exceptional level of service. I hope to visit in the future and experience the hospitality in person—based on their care and communication alone, I’m confident it will be a wonderful stay. Thank you!
