I had a wonderful stay at the Harbourview Inn & Suites..The staff was always smiling and accommodating. Bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep...I would like to see more food at breakfast..more fruits, more cereal , muffins and Multi grain bread.. that's all.. I will certainly go back ... :)

Pictures are the first lies!! DO NOT GO THERE... SERIOUSLY, DO NOT!!! Great views BUT: Dilapidated, shoddy repairs, no maintenance, paint peeling off decks and stairs, etc. Phone staff was excellent as was the staff who welcomed us on our arrival. Did not look very good from the get go and our feelings were supported when we went to the room we had rented. The musty smell of mould hit my friend so hard he started to sneeze right away. We dropped an access card on the floor that bounced under the bed and there was so much dust under it that my perfect handprint was left on the comforter after retrieving it. The kind staff offered us another room however we refused as we did not trust it would be any better! Problem: no refunds possible without the manager saying ok. Guess what? The manager is not available until the next day! First thing, we went to see the manager the morning after and he explained to us that he did not have the power to refund our fees but he will write CORPORATE in London, Ontario to see what they will do. Why have a manager and not give them any authority? Next day, I receive an email stating that there will be no refund because of their policies and cancellation specifications, bla, bla, bla. I repeat: DO NOT GO THERE, DO NOT EVEN BOTHER TO GO CHECKING IT OUT. THE PRICE IS LOW (FOR TOURIST SEASON) AND THE REASON FOR THE LOW PRICE IS THE FACT THAT THIS INN DOES NOT DESERVE ANY STARS! It should receive a MINUS 10 stars exception made of their onsite staff!! No photos as we never thought of getting any because we were so taken aback by the condition of the place!!

Sleep in your car if it’s an option. Toilet reminded me of the only port a potty at a Texas style chili cook off. Quoting a low price on the phone and then adding $40 because they just got busy seems to be common practice. The only effort made was to disappoint.

From the time we arrivedthe evening of Nov 27, 2024 it was a gong show. No lights at all in the back of building to see, and could not get in. The railings were loose up the stairwells. Though instructed tk enter from back with my friend (two ladies) we had to go around front to park and enter for our own safety.The hallways and stairwells were dirty, and walls dirty, and in poor conditions. Room was filthy. Side table had cup ring marks from previous guests, floors black as,I spilled water and cloth wiping up was black. Walls, doors, were dirty and had visible patched up walls. Mold, mildew and filth all around bathroom fixtures, and microwave was dirty as well. Went to complain to Ahmed and next day took Cash through suite,and was told the manager would get back to give me some of my monies back. Paid altogether $225.00 for 1 night. The kitchen and dining area the next dat were also filthy. Cannot believe health and safety have allowed this to continue? The owner wrote me and said no refunds but he would give me something back (no amount was disclosed) if I removed my negative review from *******. I refuse to remove and will continue to put the truth about this filthy disgusting place that should not legally be allowed to say no refunds before we as the clients see the rooms. The pictures on the net are all false, outdated and from many many years ago when new. It is a real scam!!

The location was perfect as it was close to an event that we had tickets for. Thestaff was friendly on check in and room 311 had a view of the harbour. It was all downhill from here. When entering the bathroom, we noticed that the fan did not work. Turned on the sink and the water splashed from the sink all over my husband and all over the floor (high powered and wrong angle with the inside of the sink). We used the towels to dry the floor as there was no way we were going to be showering here. There was layers of dried urine on the back of the toilet around the lid bolts. There was only 1 lamp on one side of the bed that wasn't even plugged in. When we approached the bed, toes went under the bed in a hole, in which we discovered there was unfinished flooring. There were stains on the sheets. There were stains on the chair in the corner. When we went to put hang clothes in closet, noted no hangers nor a bar to hold hangers. The drawers of the desk were full of crumbs... The ice machine did not work (and no back up un the hotel). We should have checked out that night and into another hotel. We will never ever stay here again.

We checked in, paid with cash, and a damage deposit was made on a credit card. The place was dirty. There was mouse droppings on the floor. We packed up, and went to check out. Was only there an hour, and they wouldn’t give us our money back. Said they couldn’t give it back to us, because it’s a 72hr cancellation policy. After reading over reviews, we’re not the only ones that had the same experience. The place has been reported to tourism Nova Scotia, who then advised us to make a review, and contact the hotel, which we did twice with no response, so they then told us to contact the BBB, who sent the complaint to the hotel. I don’t believe the hotel cares. Avoid at all costs. Place is disgusting.

DO NOT STAY THERE. The hotel is smelly, the bed was sunken in the middle and very uncomfortable plus we also found a bed bug in our bed in the morning. Management took weeks to answer by email and were dismissive. No compensation was offered. We are still worried to have carried back bed bugs in our luggage. Over all very frustrating and disappointing experience.

I booked for 3 nights, had the full intention to stay for 3 nights, could not stay for one - the room was filthy, stinky, just disgusting. Greasy fingerprints all over furniture, touching the bedding it felt like sand, fridge was dirty with ice buildup and food in there, bathroom was dirty. It was apparent that it could not be fixed with a quick touch-up, there is some serious cleaning needed. Reading reviews after the fact shows this is ongoing for years and obviously management doesn't care to change this reputation. Don't get tempted by their advertisement, it is far from exceptional comfort or excellent choice. IT IS FALSE. Talking to reception I was told I get the refund, just need to send an email, which I did. They referred to the cancellation policy and ignored the fact that this was not a cancellation, refund was asked for unacceptable service delivery. Every other email was ignored. I call it fraud as I lost $650 with no way to get the service expected for this amount. I am usually not writing reviews, but this was that bad that i hope I can save someone from a bad experience.

Room was unacceptable, bathroom rusty,mold around tub,shower curtain had questionable stains.holes in walls. Beds old. Breakfast was a included however toast and cereal and some scrambled eggs with deep fried potatoes of some sort.the price was for a deluxe suit it was not deluxe. ******* didn't value our concerns as we book with them an ******* over charged us and upon our grievance failed to offer any help
