my husband and I have just spent 3 nights at the George Albert hotel and Spa, whilst lookingg in the area at properties and villages Not having booked anywhere before leaving home, as usual with us, hotels in Weymouth were full not suprising during the summer school holidays' we called in to check availabilty and felt so warmly welcomed we stayed 3 nights instead of the 1 night we had planned, 20 min to Weymouth I was well positioned for us, being in tthe country it was quiet at night . we also ate every evening in the bar area, there is a restaurant on site, but we are not big eaters and the bar menu was perfect for us, I would recomend the egg mayonais sandwich, and tthe lemon meranque tart, definatley one of the best i have tasted, On the down side and there is a small one, the breakfast left a bit tto be desired toast is bought to the table one slice each, the croissants and pane et chocolat were VERY small and once gone we noticed they were not replaced, cooked food looked fine (we dont eat fried breakfasts, but there were no rolls, maybe some cheese and ham would have been nice, and seems to be normal nowadays when staying in hotels, normal small boxes of ceriel were on offer along with some home made granola, and a nutty concocttion, which my teeth could not handle , same for hubby, boiled eggs with a roll are my favorite but not possible here, Never the less the staff were lovely and we did get porridge on the last day which wasnt available for the first two days, only fruit available was big apples and pears, no bananas another staple for breakfast on your ceriel. Nowadays a coffee machine is common in hotel breakfasts having flasks of coffee, hot water, and a jug of cold milk is a bit of a faff . However we would not hesitate to stay again,

What a pleasant surprise.... fabulous friendly service, great quality furnishings, food and drink. Perhaps some updating to taste in places, but takes nothing away from what has been a great overnight stay at a good price. Thank you!

Had a lovely experience. Went with my partner for a spa day and afternoon tea. Had a lovely full body massage and facial. made to feel very welcome and comfortable by the lovely ladies - didn’t catch their names. Almost fell asleep during my treatment it was that relaxing. Then after we spent a while using the facilities, saunas, jacuzzi and relaxation rooms. Only thing that might need improvement was a few lights with wires exposed above the jacuzzi. So not great there. Went for afternoon tea after treatment and myself and my partner have different dietary requirements. One vegan, one not. The staff were so accommodating and didn’t scrimp on the vegan options either. All very fresh and tasty! Would definitely recommend!

This is a terrible hotel. The bed was so uncomfortable, the bathroom was uncomfortably warm all the time and no switch to turn the heat off, the food was inedible, when I asked for red sauce and brown sauce the waitress got in my face and weirdly started to question me my I wanted two different sauces together. And to top it off I went to the bar to ask for a pint of Guinness and the barman managed to spray Guinness all over my face and a very expensive Hugo boss shirt. He didn't even acknowledge what happened and I had to say what happened. He's response was oh you can have this pint on the house. With no apology, no acknowledgement I was upset. I asked him if he could wash to stain out of my shirt. He said okay, but we're still no apology when I went to collect my shirt after being washed, my shirt was ruined. They managed to turn part of my shirt from black to brown. My shirt was over £100 they offered to buy me a off of eBay for £30 and refused to compensate me or buy me a proper shirt from a Hugo boss shop now I'm left to take action in a small claims court I will never return to this hotel.

Stayed here for 5 days for work commitments, found it to be a very pleasurable experience. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, room was an excellent size with plenty of tea and coffee provided including a pleasant selection of biscuits. Room was cleaned every day and cannot fault the breakfast as there was plenty of choice and freshly prepared. As previously commented upon, the outside could do with a bit of a spruce up but i really enjoyed my stay here and would most definitely return.

Don't rate a book by its cover. Arrived on Thursday 26th June for a 3 night stay. The outside could do with having a gardener to make the outside appearance better but don't let this put you off, as soon as you enter the reception the staff are so welcoming, booking in was easy, and the rooms are well appointed with tea making facilities, bottled water and a couple of biscuits to dunk in your tea, the bathroom was clean with towels and complimentary shower gel and soap. Evening eating in restaurant was lovely atmosphere and the food is great quality, price wise it's a little more expensive but the quality shines through. The bar is well stocked with some local beers and the standard tap beers. Breakfast is buffet style everything from cereal to full cooked English. As for the spa facilities this was not used in my case but judging by the rest of the high standards I would assume that it would be good. I would definitely stay here again.
