ALCON, I was very happy with my stay, during check- in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and nice only small problem is that rooms are not set up for the powering up of cell-phones, Recommend the desk provide attachments so that tourist can keep there phones powered up. During my 12 days stayed at four other similiar locations, your facility was the only one without adapters for cell phone charge. Your food downstairs was great especially enjoyed the fish and chips. All in all a great stay I will DE finitely be returning very much enjoyed my stay with you,

Where should I begin..?! 1. Bed:- sheets unchanged. Bed full of hair. Dirty pillow covers and pillows covered in sweat stains. Very disgusting! 2. Used glasses. You can still see the lip prints of the previous guest on the glass. 3. Bathroom:- Dirty toilet, bathtub full of hair (the same type of hair covered in the sheets on the bed) and as if that is not enough, there were used towels still hanging on the rack. Terrible! 4. Room:- Dirty floor (definitely not vacuum cleaned), debris scattered all over the room. Cup webs on the ceiling. Conclusion: This was a very disappointing experience for us, and Considering the above described points and attached pictures, we definitely DO NOT recommend this accommodation to anyone. There are plenty other locations out there that will provide a much better service.

Stayed at the Tawny owl for two nights it was a family break. Rooms was lovely and clean everything you needed beds comfy. Staff very friendly and helpful Laurel Edwards was good host and would definitely been returning.

Booked a table for 4 people & when we arrived they vaguely showed us to chose whatever table was available as there were a few (not many though) no reserved sign on them. We then asked for a menu which they said they’d bring over but they didn’t bother so found one ourselves 10 mins later. Went to order food just before 8pm to be told good job we had put order in then as kitchen was shutting at 8pm even though when we’d phoned to book our 7.30pm table we were told kitchen shut at 9pm! Ordered meal & two came out not four. We weren’t offered cutlery or condiments so found them ourselves. Other two in our group had to wait for meal as one of bar staff came back over to check what they’d ordered awhile after we’d received our meal. 10 mins or so later theirs turned up!! Summary: unbelievably bad ‘couldn’t care a less attitude’ so would not bother going back again.

A very disappointing experience. This is a Brewery Pub with only 5 BedRooms available. We booked 2 double rooms for 2 nights. Room No.1. is quite small and has a huge ventilation shaft immediately outside the bedroom window which was extremely noisy until the kitchen closed at night. The other room was No.5. where the road noise from the nearby duel carriageway Road was continuous throughout the night and built up from 4am onwards...!!!. The rooms were average only, tired, and at £77.per room per night were overpriced. Also, it was annoying that the Rooms were "Not Serviced" during our stay...and No Information displayed as to how to evacuate in the event of a Fire.... Also, the Breakfast start time was not until 09.30am. which was much too late...and with a one plate meal offered at over £12. we ate elsewhere...!!!. This is basically a local Pub...which fails to deliver when it comes to acting as a Hotel. Not value for money. Not recommended.

We hired the Parliament Room for our party. Laura and Alisha arranged everything we asked for, from the room layout, to the amazing food for the night. We had lots of comments about how good it was. We are so pleased that we chose The Tawny as everyone had an amazing evening. Thanks again to all the staff involved. Kev & Caron xx

when confronted about bar staff the manager was very rude!! words from managers own mouth “if you don’t like it, drink somewhere else!” The male bar staff when serving was more interested with the local females, when instructed what we would like asked a couple if time what we wanted! not a very professional approach at all! very disappointed!

Excellent service , very helpful staff especially a lady called Louise, we think her name was , auburn hair and glasses , nothing too much trouble , recommended some lovely wine and really on the ball with table service , very knowledgeable in her job, a great asset to this establishment
