The decoration is stylish and the facilities are also very new. Most importantly, it is very clean. The lady at the front desk is very welcoming. Excellent location in Shaoguan. Next to the largest and newest mall. Hotel is new with an impressive arrival area. Breakfast. Good spread with good dim sum. They varied some the dishes ao that longer staying guests would have variety. Staff were pleasant and helpful in the dining hall Rooms. Nicely designed and quiet. Sheets are of great quality. Safe in room. Slippers provides. Conditioner for hair. Pillows were labeled and 2 firm ones and 2 soft ones provided. The only thing I can complain about is the headboard for the beds. It was visibly dirty. Amenities: indoor pool which we did not use. Gym with 3 treadmills and 1 elliptical and woke weights machines. Not bad overall but there was no water provided. Staff at reception: the older lady who served us when we checked in was excellent. She suggested places for us to go and was very enthusiastic about guiding us on top of sorting our check in details. The young male staff who attended to us when we checked out was unbelievably unhelpful and uninterested when we asked about a particular attraction. His answer was just no and don't know. Did not bother to help check with colleagues or make calls. This marred an otherwise good experience at Holiday inn. Conclusion Excellent hotel for the price point

Looks more like a resort than hotel. Hotel lobby was very grand but facilities are worn down. There is a gym and karaoke room but the karaoke looks more like night club, swimming pool looks old too and it’s closed. Room size ok, necessities are all equipped but lack of power points for charging and no international sockets. Shower surprisingly very comfy good water pressure with enclosed shower and bath tub, and I am very happy to see the washlet toilet. Room comes with a balcony with table and chairs and the view is nice. Free coffee and tea at the lobby. Buffet breakfast variety more local and food are all quite oily, very tasty though. There is a male staff at the reception which I would like to compliment, he helped us book DiDi during our stay throughout using his own account as we have issue with our WeChat. Excellent service! Took DiDi to nearby bainian dong jie for night market and food, must go place if you visit Shaoguan, try the mu mian ting chuan shao, very nice.
