Nice hotel. As you are used to from Van der Valk Hotels. Unfortunately there was heavy construction work which had a negative impact on the stay. However, the employees tried very hard to make the guests as pleasant as possible. They did a great job!

GGuest UserI stayed for 3 nights in April and loved it. Having stayed in a Martin hotel previously in Mechelen, I knew what to expect. Upon booking I requested the room with the big round window, which is called the Carnaval room. It's on the 3rd floor, where most of the other themed rooms are. The lift was a plus! Note there are a few steps to get into the hotel itself but they may have a workaround for wheelchair users, just FYI. Contact them before booking, to be sure. Good wet room, excellent shower pressure, huge bed. TV channels were glitchy. They have a laundry service but it's pricey, I found a laundrette in the street behind the hotel which had great hours. Lots of space. The restaurant was good for dinner and the free breakfast was plentiful. Staff extremely helpful. Did I mention the bed? It was huge and very comfy. Will stay again.
