Looking at the reviews. Someone commented about smelly towels in 2019 and the towels still smell so that just sums up really how much an owner cares. The towels were crunchy and smelly. It doesn't voet alot to have decent towels. Or matching bed linen that doesn't look like its from the 80s. Bunk beds could do with tightening as make terrible noise. This is a prime location in a beautiful place and owners obviously just dont care

Lovely guest house! Communication with the owner was excellent as we were arriving late in the evening. We had a family room which was very comfy with beautifully themed decoration. Ours was seaside based, (even in the en-suite 🙂) We had a two night stay and had everything we could need, including a table, microwave, kettle, fridge and fan etc. It was a really great part of our first holiday in years and would absolutely stay again.

Railway Cottage is a delightful , peaceful spot , very handy for the town , station , beach , massive car park in front of property , rooms are delightfully and simply furnished , tea and coffee making facilities are provided , spotlessly clean ..and when I stayed rooms were warm !...its superb if you can walk easily in to town to find a excellent choice of breakfast venues , and if your activity requires a early start just perfect , I would thoroughly recommend this establishment,

What a lovely stay, we planned to stay in our campervan however our heater had broken so we booked at the railway cottage at the last minute. The host was so welcoming, she promptly arranged the room, which was totally spotless and clean, bright and modern within en suite, a very quiet night, and comfortablw bed, tea and coffee for the morning plus a biscoff. Ery conveiniently located near the town centre. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for one night due to a family gathering. Clean, tidy and for value for money. Spot on. If you are looking for clean, tidy place to stay and on a budget this place is perfect for a night or two. Places nearby to grab breakfast. Each room had en-suite and a fridge.

Brilliant stay for one night. Great value, had everything we needed. Warm, clean and comfortable. Easy parking opposite for £1 for 24 hours. Walking distance to sea front, steam railway and town centre. We loved this place and will return.

We both found this place a great place to stay, we have 3 dogs, all were welcome. The room was clean tidy and well presented fully functional with no problems at all. A welcoming place to stay in the heart of swanage and highly recommended. For a weekend break out of season as our visit was, it works perfectly.
