One of the reasons we chose this B&B was due to the reviews about the breakfast - we were not disappointed! Excellent choices and all very tasty, loved the fresh fruit especially to start our day. The accommodation (Room 1) was spacious, clean and tidy, comfy bed and very decent shower, big towels etc. We did need the boot room as of course it rained the 4 days we were there but that didn't stop us having a great mini-break. Heartily recommend Taunton House, they are lovely hosts.

We had a wonderful few days staying at Taunton House, Michele and Bill were so hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. A good choice of breakfast options were available and it was ready at the time we asked every day. We’d definitely recommend this place to other travellers.

Lovely B&B with a friendly host. Gorgeous room with a 'sea glimpse'. Excellent quality bed linen and towels etc. Very nice breakfast.

We stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Michelle and Bill are lovely welcoming hosts. The B&B is situated about 2 minutes from the High Street with it's many eateries and not very far at all from the seafront, but is very quiet. Our room ( 1 ) was very spacious and comfortable and contained a very good sized double bed. There were coffee and tea making facilities in the room together with biscuits. ( Also chocolate mints which was a great touch). All of which were replenished every day. Breakfast was ordered the night before from a menu left in the room. There was a good variety of choices. It was cooked fresh when you were ready in the morning and was extremely tasty. Parking was available off-street at the rear of the building. Michelle and Bill are great people and run a great B&B. Certainly if we visit Swanage again we be looking to stop at Taunton House if possible. Recommended.

It pains me to say how amazing this place is as everyone will want to book! Stayed 2 nights here and all the reviews are right it is as good as they say. Bill and Michelle are friendly and so attentive, nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely want you to have the best stay possible. Room was immaculate, shower room spotless, soft towels, comfortable bed and lovely feather pillows. Breakfast was fantastic, you fill out a little menu card and leave it out the night before. We loved this, it means you sit down and in minutes exactly what you ordered arrives. The most beautiful, perfectly cooked poached eggs, thanks Bill, everything on the plate was good quality, special mention to the sausages!! Michelle really cares that you enjoy it. We’ve stayed lots of places in Swanage over 25 years and have never had people really want you to be happy and catered for,it is clear that this is more than a job to them. We will definitely be back, if they’re not fully booked!

Stayed here for a couple of nights and plan to return in 2 weeks time. Lovely welcoming B&B, perfect central location with easy free parking. Very well appointed comfortable and quiet rooms. Beautifully and tastefully appointed common areas. Breakfast was excellent- very tasty with quality ingredients and very well cooked and presented. Warm, friendly and very pleasant owner who made me feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

Excellent in every way, such a lovely house, friendly, professional, could not have asked for more, would definitely recommend and would definitely love to stay again.
