Big4 Swan Hill

This review took a long time to write because the internet connection was very poor. The reception people admitted they were aware of the poor internet but was unable to offer any alternatives. The front of the room was flooded, the facilities for the kitchen are very average compared to other similar places I have stayed. In my opinion if an accommodation place as offered a service and it is incorporated in the cost of the room they should offer a better rate if they can't offer the service they offer.

This is a very good caravan park only a km or two from the CBD. The grassed powered sites are large. The slab sites are smaller but still measure 8-9m x 6m. The facilities are very good, and the staff extremely helpful. Its price was also reasonable. I recommend this park

We stayed over Easter weekend and had a lovely time. Park was very family friendly. All the staff were lovely. The cabin was a little dated but comfortable and well equipped. The Easter egg hunt for the eggs on Easter morning was sensational and so well organised. Our only issue was we received a text from the park to say try not to shower one night due to sewage issues (that is fine these things happen) but there was no follow up message to say issue was fixed and we were ok to shower. As the reception was closed for Easter Sunday we had to just assume all was ok again and we were all good to shower. We will def be booking in to stay again

Disappointed Not clean very old cabin really needs upgrade we paid $390 for 2 nights and the bed was so old and uncomfortable we had no sleep kids bed room tiny one bed on floor tv never worked Chipped cups ants in kids beds Pool was not clean just very uncomfortable the whole place Do not recommend

So disappointed in the pet friendly cabin we paid $250.00 per night for, off season. The structure of the building is fine but these cabins are well overdue for refurbishment. They are poorly equipped in the kitchen with no small kitchen knife or scissors which are basic requirements. New backyard enclosure has no lighting. The cabin was not clean, see cutlery draw, dirty top of fridge. I wouldn’t have been so upset had the price reflected the poor standard. $180 a night). You tarnish the Big 4 brand!!

The heater in the living/bedroom works well and there is an electric blanket to keep you nice and warm. I didn't like that the bathroom window was open and lets col air in and cannot be completely shut. The kitchen area is very well endowed- microwave, oven, sink, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery etc. Very good. The bed was super hard, like sleeping on the floor. The seats were not comfortable and I didn't trust the couch as it was stained. Didn't use the wifi. Watched the Olympics- good reception for channel 9. The swimming pool/water park looks pretty fun- if I were a kid and it was hot. I would stay again.
