You will find us in Syndale Park, a country retreat on the outskirts of the Kent market town of Faversham. We are only a 15-minute drive from the historic Canterbury and Whitstable Castle, and within easy reach of the Channel Tunnel.
Our tastefully-decorated boutique accommodation mixes modern flair with traditional fittings dating back to the original building of 1680. We have 26 individually-styled bedrooms, many of which enjoy beautiful views of the parkland and are located on the ground floor, with direct access to the car park. For an extra touch of luxury, we have deluxe rooms and suites. Each room is bright and airy, with Freeview TV, a hospitality tray and free Wi-Fi.

We stayed for one night and, unfortunately, left feeling disappointed given the cost. While the countryside setting was peaceful and charming, the overall experience fell short of expectations. From the moment we arrived, there was an unpleasant smell, and the cleanliness of both the bathroom and carpet was lacking. The mattress was also quite uncomfortable, which made for a restless night. Breakfast, which we had hoped would redeem the stay, only reinforced the sense that this place could benefit from higher standards. With some attention to cleanliness, comfort, and hospitality, it has potential—but as it stands, it doesn’t feel worth the price.

L’hotel è grazioso molto caratteristico, ma la stanza lascia decisamente delusi. Partiamo dalle dimensioni ristrettissime, non si riusciva nemmeno ad aprire la valigia. Pulizia… pessima. Capelli sia in bagno che in camera, quando siamo arrivati il water era sporco al fondo (segno che la pulizia è stata fatta molto velocemente). Il bagno era piccolo, trascurato e, la parte assolutamente terribile…… vasca con doccia e TENDINA! Signori…. Cosa vi costa mettere un vetro? La tendina di plastica non la vedevo da anni… Fortunatamente so che non in tutte le stanze è così, dei miei amici erano in un’altra camera e avevano il vetro. Ma la pulizia lasciava comunque molto a desiderare. Non abbiamo segnalato in quanto abbiamo fatto solo una notte e siamo scappati. Avessi dovuto fare di più sicuramente avrei lamentato e mi sarei fatta cambiare di stanza

We had afternoon tea in the restaurant at Judd's Folly, which we had never heard of. Our granddaughter had given us a voucher as a present, and to our horror we discovered when we were nearly there that we had left it at home. We thought we would have to go home again. However, when I phoned them, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They found the voucher on their system and printed it out again for us. The tea was great, one vegetarian and one meat platter. The venue is in beautiful surroundings. We will recommend the hotel to everybody

Myself and my teenage daughter really enjoyed our stay in one of the chalet style accommodations for two nights, we loved the semi rural location, we even read up on the history, room clean and tidy, staff amazingly helpful and friendly, especially receptionist Vicki, though all staff in restaurant and bar were pleasant and helpful, lovely relaxing atmosphere. Food was lovely too, can’t think of anything to complain about, we can’t wait to return soon. Thanks everyone :)

We had our wedding here on 27th June 2025. We had the BEST time all thanks to Carlie and the team Jude’s Folly, they could not have been more accommodate. Carlie in particular you put up with the chopping and changing of the wedding planning and did it so professionally but also made us feel so at ease about everything. On the big day itself Carlie orchestrated everything perfectly, she was a machine. Always coming to find us to ensure we were ok, never without a drink in hand and made sure we ate, stayed calm and really helped us enjoy the day. Thank you all sooo much for making mine and my new wife’s wedding so very special. If anyone is thinking of getting married at Jude’s folly - get Carlie involved!!!
