The Bulls Head

Only stayed one night, but I would definitely stay again. We made a great choice to stay at The Bulls Head.

As we were staying in the area we looked for somewhere to have Sunday lunch. The Bulls Head had good reviews so we booked and were fitted in last minute at 2pm. I can honestly say the Sunday roast was the best I've ever had outside of our house (my wife's is obviously the best :) ). Three meats, all good cuts with minimal fat, yorkshire, excellent roast potatoes, tasty stuffing ball, properly cooked veg (not hardly cooked like a lot of places but not mushy either) and all topped off with oodles of really, really good gravy. Everyone cleared their plates and we took advantage of the deal for 2 courses with excellent desserts too. Superb value, and the service is spot on, Becky and a lovely blonde lady (sorry, I didn't get the name) were so friendly, attentive and efficient. It was so good we revisited later in the week for an evening meal, the staff remembered us :), which was also very good. I can't recommend this place enough, would 100% revisit if in the area.

Clean and friendly

Bulls head Lovely little pub accommodation, the room was spacious and the bed comfy. I would have liked an iron in the room, and a more powerful shower, as well as an earlier check in. The breakfast was lovely, as was the owner. A nice little place to stay.

The Bulls Head was a lovely place to stay warm friendly and they made you feel at home. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would definately stay again

Relaxing long weekend "away from it all". Absolutely delightful. Breakfast is indeed exceptional, the room is very comfortable and has everything that we needed for a three-day weekend. Netflix an unexpected bonus after a good walk in the nice countryside on the doorstep. Dinner was also excellent plus the Bangladeshi restaurant in Swadlincote provided one of the best "Indian" dinners in a very long time. Location is quiet and safe and Becky and the Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly.
