Although it is an hourly room, it is really good. The hotel facilities and the lighting of the room are very good. I am very tired to go to work and think about opening the hourly room to rest. The three hours of living are really good.

Breakfast: The food is very rich. Su-style Aozao noodles and small wontons are especially recommended. They are delicious and unique. Other types are also very good. The four kinds of porridge are great. Service: All service staff are very enthusiastic and positive. I really like their initiative to introduce local specialties and tourist routes. Sanitation: The room is clean and refreshing, and clean everywhere. The overall environment is ancient and poetic, with music, chess, calligraphy and painting, mountains and rivers, birds and flowers. I really love the transportation here. It is very convenient. It takes two minutes to walk to the subway station. Such a good place must be recommended.

Environment: Very good. The hotel is an independent building next to the subway station. Facilities: There is a billiard room and an open-air balcony with a great view. Service: Children's slippers and toothbrushes were given away. Very attentive. Hygiene: The new building is very clean. I will stay here again next time.

Environment: The book-themed hotel is indeed quite artistic. There are many small facilities to play in the lobby (Go, water writing posts, etc.), and there are three books in each room. There are also various landscape paintings on the glass door of the shower room. Service: The service is very friendly. The front desk guy who arrived quite late at night was also soft-spoken and comfortable. When leaving, he also took the initiative to ask if I wanted to take a few bottles of water. Facilities: The toilet in the bathroom is a smart toilet. The shower and the toilet are not separated by a curtain. Environment: The shower head is indeed a bit dirty. It is a bit patina, a bit disgusting, and there are unknown small insects flying. I brought my own hair dryer, the kind with strong wind. When I blew my hair, I blew down the dust that was not cleaned in some corner of the room. It fell and stuck to my arm, emmmm

The location is very good, you can get around with the bus or walk around to the town. The staff was very kind and helpful. Thank you to the Assistant Manager Ms Sima for helping me and assisting me throughout my stay at the hotel. I could also leave my luggage free of cost for 24h after check out and pick it up later. I really liked the staff but the room I got was smelly at first but Ms Sima changed it for me and was very helpful.

The underground parking is very convenient, the front desk service is friendly and the staff is sufficient

If you’re looking for a perfect 4 star venue in the city centre then look no further! This place is a good bargain all round the year and even in peak seasons. I am going to split my review into sections so bare with me. 1) Rooms: The outdated the rooms need a serious paint jobs and the couch is quite “scratchy” material wise. Despite the interior eye sore, the flats are quite cosy with everything you need. Scenery wise , those who aren’t afraid of heights request the balcony rooms ! Maybe they don’t have the views of the shanghai centre shopping mall but the evening breeze did put me to sleep like a baby! Also the television was well packed with nostalgic movies , I really enjoyed the entertainment. Although the TV volume doesn’t go too loud , I guess it’s good respect to the neighbors some of who are long term tenants. 2) Service: Impeccable. The people here, although clearly overworked are so nice! The housekeepers are all so wonderful ! They were the ones who let me come back to a clean flat everyday , really it was a piece of home with a whole lot of help! For shampoos and conditioners and shower gel you would need to let the front desk know you need it, so please keep that in mind! 3) Breakfast: Just enough for survival , I’m quite particular about my tastes in food where the buffet options were too less and unfortunately not too tasty. But I was able to survive…I really hope they can fix this though cause the place although cheaper than others isn’t exactly cheap as well. If you want a good breakfast spread , you will be left heavily disappointed. There’s a lot of cost cutting the hotel group has done and it’s obvious…I hope Ascott takes this into consideration cause it’s not good to have better hotels around the world but keep smaller cities forgotten and tightly budgeted!! Suzhou is quite expensive than other cities due to the constant influx of tourists. I don’t usually write much for my reviews but In this case I seem to care after seeing the overworked hotel staff and the poor conditions around them. Come on Ascott do better. I initially was tempted to give a 3/5 review stars but it’s the people that pushed it up.

We had a great stay here thanks to the staff, especially Freda! Freda helped our family feel at home during our brief visit. The room was lovely and the buffet was delicious. We hope the pool is open next time we go back. Overall the hotel gets a 9/10 but Freda gets 11/10！

The location of the hotel is super good! It is right next to Exit 2 of Xinghai Square Metro Station, and is within walking distance of Jinji Lake and Oriental Gate. The room is very clean, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, the water pressure of the shower is just right, and the water drains quickly. I am a bit of a germophobe, but I am super satisfied! The room originally booked by my family was checked in on the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. At that time, I planned to stay for only one day, but I was stranded by the super typhoon No. 13 and stayed for one more night. The extension procedure is quite simple. The manager considerately arranges for each guest who extends the stay to not change rooms, and also provides a large bag of dry food to each room, so that every guest who can't go out or order takeout can have snacks. So loving! The hotel's special project, late-night porridge, is really thoughtful, heartwarming, and very popular with guests. Although we didn't try it ourselves this time, every time we see other guests eating with relish, we want to come again in the future to enjoy this special service. Service: The service is excellent, and it responds to any request. The boss's front desk is simply the pocket of A Dream. As long as you need something, it can be turned into something, which is super awesome👍
