Suwon Yeongtong-gu Hotels

This Marriott is connected to a very small mall with many restaurants (nothing fancy). The Mall is convenient and nice to walk around in. More importantly, it borders a wetland park, which is really nice to spend time in. There is not much to do in Suwon (it seems to be a business oriented city with many business people visiting LG and Samsung.) There is also a convention center and a larger mall next door. Breakfast is ok.

The hotel facilities looked a bit outdated, but the rooms were spacious and clean! There was an airport bus right in front of the hotel, so it was easy to get back to the airport, and it was great that I could go to the hot places in Nyingtong just by crossing the overpass.

I have been coming to this hotel for a little over a year, and I never had any problems until they started making changes. I understand charging for basic amenities, but can you at least put a bar of soap in the bathroom for handwashing. I also didn't have the nice LG clothes closet that refreshes your clothes. I wasn’t able to freshen my jacket, and the mattress is also harder. They did install a bigger TV and added better TV remote directions in English with a channel listing. But what did it for me was during the checkout. In the past, when I had a lot of bags to carry to the KTX or Bus Terminal, they always were helpful in calling me a taxi. I asked like I normally do, and not only was I denied, but I was also waved off as if he couldn't be bothered. I tried to tell him that I was going to the KTX, but he kept saying airport taxi across the street. Due to frustration and time constraints, I left. I didn't want to miss my train. I will definitely patron another hotel after this. Disappointed.

Convenient parking lot and very accessible to the city. There is a soft meal but I could see that it is well maintained in a well organized room. The check-in time was early, so it was convenient to leave your luggage and look around. Close to a large mart and close to the subway, it is a good value for money hotel in many ways. However, it was a little unfortunate that the hot water temperature was not enough. I'm going well.

Friendly response and guidance helped the hotel and surrounding sightseeing a lot. Overall, it is a good value for money hotel with spacious rooms and tidy management. The adjacentness to the mart or subway station is also great. Recommended.

The owner was a very nice person who was kind and sincere. I think he upgraded the room to a higher grade because he lived in Japan, and the Japanese were doing well. I was lucky too. Thank you very much. I was a little worried that the hot water didn't come out for a while, but I came out later and was comfortable to use it without any problems after that.
