A repeat visit to Norton Park Spa Hotel. I really enjoy the peaceful location with beautiful grounds where you can walk through woodland or sit on a swing gazing out at the lake.
The spa is perfectly acceptable - no idea why some have left bad reviews. Great sauna and steam room, plus real ice pile and strong, cold (or hot) shower available close to these two facilities which is great extra. Pool is big enough to swim laps (not just a token effort) and there are couple of heated, tiled loungers pool side too. I treated myself to a treatment of back massage and full body exfoliation with oil application, which was absolutely wonderful. Relaxation room after the treatment was welcome touch. I have used spas across the world at top hotels and this was up there with the best.
Restaurant is really high quality, certainly above my expectations of British hotel catering. The breakfast buffet has everything you could require - although it is self-service on the tea/coffee which I'd rather have served to table - plus you can order extras for free, like poached eggs and porridge, which are then cooked to order. There are also some pay-for extras if required. Dinner was even more fantastic - have eaten there four times in two stays and cannot fault.

Beautiful views. Leisure facilities lovely. Bryan a super star. Jessica in bar area was lovely, remembered what I drank. Rib eye the first night was ok, not amazing. Lamb rump on the second night was super.

Our stay at Norton Park Hotel was wonderful. The staff really made the stay exceptional, everyone was so friendly, polite and helpful, especially Ben, our waiter. The food was great. The room was great. The spa was great. Everything was great! We will definitely be staying again. Highly recommend!

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff involved in looking after the party of 10 ladies on Friday 25th July celebrating my daughter’s upcoming wedding. Staff were very flexible and accommodating in allowing us to decorate both the table and surrounding area. We were served a delicious tea with sandwiches, 2 large scones each with clotted cream and jam and some lovely little cakes along with tea and Prosecco. The teapots were replenished upon request. The grounds are very attractive and perfect for a walk and photographs after tea and there is ample on site parking.
