The location is OK. It's relatively quiet.
Both pillows are very high, which makes sleeping uncomfortable. Normally, one should be high and the other low. On the first day, the alarm went off for no reason, and the whole floor could hear it. I reported it to the front desk, and someone came to fix it after a while but didn't fix it. They took it down and said they would replace it with a new one the next day, but they didn't come to replace it for two days.

Our stay at the Rydges Hotel was enjoyable. The location is ideal for accessing local amenities, public transportation, and attractions. We were allowed to check in early because we arrived at 11 a.m. The staff is warm and pleasant, and the check-in and check-out procedures went well. The only negative is that the carpeted floor needs to be thoroughly steam cleaned because it causes itching skin. Other than that, the rooms are large and the bed is comfortable.

Except for the mattress being a bit soft, everything else is good. It is within walking distance from central station, and it is also acceptable to walk to Chinatown, Hyde Park, Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The room overlooks Sydney Tower and is clean and comfortable. The hotel has a small swimming pool, gym and good service.
