From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel truly valued as guests. The hotel itself is set in stunning grounds, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Our room was beautifully presented—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxing stay. It’s clear that attention to detail has been prioritized. One of the standout highlights was the spa. The facilities were excellent, and the atmosphere was tranquil—perfect for unwinding. The pool area was spotless, and the treatments were first-class, leaving us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Dining at the hotel was also a fantastic experience. The food was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with a smile. It’s evident that the team takes great pride in the quality of their service. Overall, I’m delighted to say that Voco Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa has more than redeemed itself in my eyes. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch service. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful hotel and services

Came for dinner and the service was exceptional. Amber welcomed us with a friendly smile and kept us well looked after. Natasha and Eleanor were extremely attentive and made our meal very enjoyable. The food was delicious, very homey and heart warming. Jithin was on bar and was extremely friendly and kept us entertained. Overall our trip to lythe hill was one for the books and me and my wife will be returning maybe for a weekend away rather than just a meal.

Roisin at reception was so exceptionally welcoming and helpful and made us feel so welcome (even though we had just done a 26 mile walk in aid of St Catherine's Hospice in 32c heat). She even donated to our cause which blew our minds and put a lump in our throats. Wonderful facilities, views, bar, food. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

My friend and I had been planning a spa day for quite some time and came across a voucher on Wowcher so decided to give it a go. The voucher consisted of a 25 min treatment, use of the spa, afternoon tea and a glass of bubbly. Our first attempt wasn’t very successful as we’d had our treatment, chilled in the relaxation room for a bit and then got a coffee before getting in the jacuzzi. Almost immediately we were asked to leave as they needed to evacuate the spa due to unforeseen circumstances. However they advised we just needed to email to rebook our spa day. I emailed to book and there seemed to be some confusion around the afternoon tea, but as I pointed out, we hadn’t yet had this part of the voucher so they booked us in! I also pointed out that they should be offering us discount off another treatment seeing as we had our spa day cut short as fast as it started and had both had to book a secondary day off work to come back. They agreed and offered us discount but I was disappointed I had to ask. It should have been offered as a good will gesture after last time. They kept referring to us getting a ‘complimentary spa day’ bit as far as I was concerned, this was just what we had paid for in the first place. However we came back and had our discounted treatments, which were good. However, they weren’t anything particularly amazing so glad we weren’t paying full price. The treatments are quite expensive, especially when other places locally are slightly cheaper but better! The spa was very relaxing though and the relaxation room was nice. We went in the steam room, sauna and pool, all were really nice and very clean. The pool was a lovely temperature. The showers had run out of shower gel and shampoo though. I tried two showers before giving up… so would suggest checking these more frequently as the bottles are quite large, which implies they hadn’t been refilled for quite some time. Next was afternoon tea. We arrived and the guy looked really confused we were there before telling us we were late as our booking was at 3pm, not half 3. After checking my booking confirmation, we could see that we were not in fact late and the email confirmed afternoon tea at 3:30pm. He sat us down and brought over our afternoon tea, which was fantastic. Overall we had a great day, but it would have been even better if there was a little more attention to detail and no admin errors!

Very comfortable beds and high quality bedding. All staff extremely friendly, made me feel comfortable. Mitch told me about the history of the building. Appreciated breakfast on weekend until 11.00am as this gave me a chance to use the spa and pool. Lovely warm pool, large enough for a nice swim. Lovely sauna and steam room. This morning was able to read my book on the terrace where there are sun beds with a lovely view over the grounds. Great showers in spa, great quality products. There was a party but did not keep me awake and my room was quite close. Appreciated the tea and coffee facilities in the room and biscuits. Vegan breakfast very nice, good range of breakfast, including lovely fruit and pastries.
