Surin Hotels with Gym

My partner and I stayed here for a week to visit her family, who she hadn't seen for about three years, thanks to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We found the place ideally located, close to the Night Markets in Central Surin City. We also had a hire car, so albeit small, the car park came in particularly useful for us. The style of the hotel is completely unique and a bit of an experience; it feels ”industrial”, yet ”natural”, with the concrete floors and jungle-like garden. This, however, makes the hotel no less comfortable, though and I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities and bedding, in particular. The first night we were there, the hotel did not have WiFi (which is included in the nightly rate), I was not really able to ascertain why, but the next day it was working, which enabled us to use the TV for Netflix. Breakfast is included in the great-value rate (this may have been an Agoda special; I'm not really sure), and although simple, it does the job. I don't believe there was any dinner, as we ordered Grab Food for dinner most nights, which is still good value. Nonethless, basis our experience on this occasion, we'll definitely be returning to The Wood next time we are in Surin!

Situated in a quiet soi and with ample parking space in front and aside. Walking distance to the evening market, 7/11/Tesco, and restaurants (incl the Chinese Pae-Te!). the hotel also has a coffee-shop/restaurant with Thai food/drinks, open till 21.30. Room Service available. We paid 475THB walk-in rate and got a nice corner-room on the 7th floor with a balcony and a nice view over the city. Rooms was spacious, very clean, good shower, excellent Wifi, reasonable beds (bit too soft for our taste). Everything in good working order. Airco and toilet-flush were a bit noisy though :-) . Friendly and english speaking staff at the reception. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Cleanliness & Great location Mostly all of staff was helpful & charming except morning breakfast loud noises in the restaurant boring breakfast. Room was cleanliness & big size (queen bed) Made at the 11 floor was nice & friendly Staff at the restaurant in the front of hotel was nice and great local foods. The beer garden was nice with life music Everything is good for my trip.

Affordable accommodation without any fanfare. Located close to the Surin Pillar Shrime. Plenty of eateries, only thing is most are close. Checkin was seedless, security card access to enter the main the resident area. Lift is small and not aircon. Social distancing still practice at this hotel. Wifi is pretty decent, only dropped out during late afternoon storm. Shower is small but very good pressure. We booked 3 rooms: 402,403 and 404. 402 the aircon need service as it rattle and hum intermittently.

There are 3 menus to choose from, American style, boiled rice and pan-fried eggs.

The first step to walk in great and magnificent (we arrived at the hotel and checked in at about 6 o'clock in the evening). .. When I arrived at the lobby, tell the staff that ”Check in, book through Trip”, the staff only asked the name. And then waited a long time Finding information in a big scale, it took 20 minutes to get a room (2nd floor, room 212). 🔒 Go up to the room The key card can't open the room!! Back down again Staff changed a new room (room 210). ⚠️ Enter the room, the first touch is the musty smell, even if it looks new. ✔️ There is a small refrigerator to soak 2 bottles of water, cool air conditioner is good, TV can watch normal, shower spread water well Warm water is fast, good use. ❗️ The mattress is quite hard. Moving a little, there is always an exclamation sound. ❌️ But the most unacceptable thing is the toilet toilet. Sit and shake like not strong. and whether it's heavy and lightly shooting Press the toilet water is flowing out of the toilet base. which does not have a chemical mortar!! ❌️ Swimming pool, no water!! Because it is renovating But sold the room without notice clearly Lose the feeling here as well Because my daughter intends to go to play in the water Therefore find to reserve a hotel with a swimming pool ☑️ breakfast is not available,this one is understandable at this price But have to be surprised to wake up early Because there are many porters carrying a wheelchair in the cups The sound of hitting the cups and plates echoed from the ground floor. (Think about how loud it is) very noisy noisy and below are not enough.noisy comes from the top again.because the new hotel is renovating So I took my family to wake up to take a bath and dress. Check out from 8 o'clock. **And this is the direct experience. in staying Understand that the new hotel is being renovated. But if not ready to provide 100% full service, then the renovation is officially closed. Do not open for customers to stay at all. It loses feeling

Despite the centre of Surin not being as flashy and big as Bangkok, Fortune Mansion brings comfort and class to the area. Along with their cheap room prices, the staff are friendly and helpful. Do be warned that their English is very basic though, but this was not a problem for us. We have stayed here 3 separate times already, each for one night as we travelled around Surin. We have had rooms at the front of the hotel with both a double and twin beds. Both if these were VERY CLEAN and all facilities worked. All rooms are equipped with a fridge, meaning if you walk to the 7/11 which is two minutes down the road, you can store breakfast here. Fortune Mansion does not provide breakfast so be prepared. The back area of the hotel with more expensive rooms is amazing. We had a double bed room at the back and it was modern, again very clean, had a large amazing bathroom and the beds everywhere are very comfy. Overall, I’d recommend going to the back of the hotel for a room for more luxury as it only cost us 100baht more. However the front is still just as good. Very clean, modern, comfy beds, warm showers and overall a great hotel especially for the low price!
