Buddha's is a small, almost family-like, cozy resort with approximately 10 rooms, all in generally good condition. We experienced an issue with a non-flushing toilet for about two days, which was attributed to heavy rainfall. This unexpected rainfall also prompted us to leave earlier than planned, although it did cause a two-day delay in our departure due to canceled flights. The Buddha's team is exceptionally friendly and helpful, truly top-notch, not only when it comes to surfing but also with any other requests or concerns you may have. The location, like many neighboring hotels, is not right on the beach but on the other side of the road, which can sometimes be audible. Nevertheless, you'll feel surrounded by palm trees and other lush vegetation, almost as if you're in the middle of the jungle. Dining occasionally at the resort's restaurant is worthwhile; while the menu may not be extensive, the quality of the cuisine is outstanding. However, fear not, as there are plenty of other delicious restaurants nearby to explore as well.

We stayed in a private room at Casavia Siargao and had a great experience overall. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed and pillows that ensured restful nights. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The hostel offers some great spaces for chilling out and socializing, which we appreciated after long days of exploring. During our stay, the island was experiencing a three-week-long power cut. Thankfully, the hostel had a generator and used it on a schedule, which helped make the situation manageable. There’s a construction site adjacent to the hostel, but it didn’t really affect us since we were out during the day, and work had usually finished by the time we returned. Overall, Casavia Siargao provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even under challenging circumstances. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island and looking for a friendly and relaxed place to stay.

It's the perfect spot for beach bums and party animals alike! 🛵💃 The Sinag staff are nothing short of amazing, but let's talk about Jessy for a moment. This gal is the human embodiment of a Swiss Army knife, always ready to help you with all your needs. 🛠️ If there were a Mount Rushmore for hostel employees, Jessy's face would be carved in stone! 🗿 The vibe at Sinag Hostel is contagious. Before you know it, you'll be swapping stories and becoming BFFs with everyone staying there. It's like a melting pot of fun-loving adventurers, and you're the secret ingredient! 🥘🎉 Ready to hang ten? Surf lessons are offered at a reasonable price, where you'll meet Bubong and Darnell, the raddest surf instructors on this side of the planet. These guys will have you catching waves like a pro in no time. 🏄‍♀️ Wednesday nights are an absolute treat with the Sinag family dinner. Everyone chips in, cooking up a storm in the communal kitchen or bringing tasty treats from outside. It's a smorgasbord of flavors, laughter, and unforgettable memories. 🍽️😄 If you're lucky enough to snag a room at this bodacious hostel, don't think twice. Dive in headfirst and ride the wave of adventure at Sinag Hostel! 🌊🤙

Location - This hostel has a nice location from the Cloud 9 area and from the all the restaurants along the Tourism Road- but it is recommended to rent a motorbike for convenience since you have to enter an alley just to get there. Want to note that this alley is like a pool of mud when it rains but of course this is not their fault. Ambiance/ Atmosphere - I like how different it feels inside once you get inside the hostel. It always feels homey and cozy for me, especially their hammocks in front of your room and their common area. You can either relax here alone but feel free to chat with your other hostel-mates and their friendly staff. Rooms - We booked our own private room and I would say it is just basic. They have towels for you but bring your own toiletries. They also don't have hot shower but it doesn't really matter for me since you are in a tropical island. Their AC works fine for me as well. What I just don't like about their room is the lack of closet or any rack where I can hang my clothes. Also, the walls for me are so thin that I can hear the voices of the other room beside us. There were actually a few times where we woke up to the voices of our neighboring room. Amenities & Services - They don't serve any meals here but you can cook your own meals. They have an electric kettle, gas stove, microwave, fridge, and free drinking water. For guests who are planning to stay in their dormitory rooms, I noticed that they clean the toilets regularly so that is always a plus. You can rent a motorbike from them or arrange with them surfing lessons, island tours, and van transfers. I think they offer a cheap deal for renting a motorbike so we did rent from them for PHP 350 per day for more than a week's rent. You can also ask them to clean your room if you want and also do your laundry for PHP 140 but with a minimum of 4KG. Staff- I think this what made the stay here special. They are all friendly and helpful and it was nice getting to know them and catching up with them everyday.
