If you have ever been to Surf City, you are familiar with this this home as it sits in a group of 4 iconic luxury ocean front buildings (which make up 8 luxury ocean front town homes). If you think the photos are good, wait till you see it in person! These large beautify pastel colorful town homes makeup the town shore line and sit on North Shore drive in the 100 block just past Daddy Mac’s. You can truly park your car when you arrive and not get in it again for your entire vacation! Walking distance (1/2 mile or less) to 15 eating establishments from snow cones and ice cream to some of the islands best restaurants! You can even walk to the marina and rent a boat, go out on a fishing charter or take a dinner cruise. Walk to the surf city park and enjoy free Friday night outdoor movies and concerts or just enjoy all that the town has to offer. When you come home you can relax by the private community pool overlooking the beach (Private to the 8 luxury town homes). The pool is just exclusive enough to retain the privacy but gives the children and young adults a chance to make friends quickly.
While this home has “location, location, location”, the real benefit is the quality of the home itself. The first thing that you will notice is the quality of the construction. The home features porcelain tile and bamboo hardwood throughout, heavy trim work and 10 ft ceilings. The quality construction also includes heavy insulation, so you will immediately be impressed by how quiet the home is (important when you are vacationing with a large group). Each of the 4 main bedrooms is a master (having its own private full bathroom attached). Three of the 4 main bedrooms feature beautiful King size beds with super comfortable mattresses and the 4th bedroom features a two custom built bunk beds: 1 twin XL over Queen and one twin over twin. These beeds have 45inches of head space between the bunks so you don't feel like you are in a bunk bed. The fifth bedroom is on the entry level and has a twin over full bunk to help accommodate the overflow when unexpected additional guests show up (because you know when you have a wonderful place at the beach ….it will happen!). Note that this room does not have a private bathroom, but your guest will find it far superior to a sofa sleeper alternative for your overflow that is offered in many other homes!!) Everyone will appreciate the elevator to move luggage, food and family between floors.
We rented for nearly 30 years before we were finally able to purchase our own rental property in Topsail. We used all that knowledge to make this home a superb rental. Here is what we learned and what we have done to make this home a perfect rental experience for you!
After location, location, location, comes BEDDING, BEDDING, BEDDING! Ever gone to a great rental only to find that after 2 or 3 nights your body ached due to poor bedding and inferior mattresses? You work too hard for your vacation to take a chance.
Next is deck furniture! Ever go to a home with little or no deck furniture? Or furniture that sits so low you are left looking through the railings like prison bars? This home features high top resin deck chairs. These chairs are not only extremely comfortable, they give you a spectacular unobstructed view of the ocean. Enjoy the stunning views from the two covered ocean front decks overlooking the ocean and swimming pool You will never want to go inside!
Parking is under the home for 3 large cars (or 4 compact cars but it is a tight fit for 4). Overflow public parking directly across the street. There is a charge for public parking March through end of October (subject to change). There is no parking in the common areas.
Responsible pet owners may bring their dogs. There is a $200 pet fee per dog, per week. Only the pets of the guest are allowed on the property. No additional pets may be on the property or the decks (i.e no "just visiting" pets). If undeclared pets are seen on the property, Guest are subject to immediate eviction without refund and a $500 fine per animal in the home or on the property.

Hook, Wine and Sinker
Property manager was fantastic and responded immediately to all questions. Check in was a breeze. Location of the duplex is definitely the key point! Walking distance to most restaurants, ice cream, pier, supermarket.

Summer Escape to Surf City
Wow. Amazing! Beautiful location for sure. Can walk to everything. The Elevator was a must for us due to older travelers. It was a God send. Our host, Ted, was the absolute best. I would rent from him again. He made all the difference. Only suggestion comments would be the pool could be larger to accommodate 8 units and out main patio sliding door handle was broken off (very difficult to open). This door used many times during the day. I WOULD REBOOK WITH TED IN A HEARTBEAT! Thank you for a memory making vacation!!!

The Perfect Family Getaway
I vacationed here with my extended family, in ages ranging from 4 - 75, and it was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I booked Ted went above and beyond to make us feel welcome - friendly and full of tips.The house was amazing - clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. It was spacious enough for all 10 of us to feel at home.The biggest highlight is the location - just out your door and there's the beach. Plus, there's always something to do in the area - restaurants, shops, kid's activities. I would highly recommend!

Family Vacay 2025
Ted is a great host and tended to every need as quickly as possible. The house was in a great location, as everything is walkable. All 21 of us had a wonderful, carefree stay at both units which are just steps from the beach. The pool and elevator are also wonderful amentities that were definitely utilized. We would surely come back!

Family Reunion
We have stayed at Ted's homes many times before but this house was just extraordinary! Right on the beach plenty of deck space comfortable beds and we had a wonderful time!
